I need some help with a code for Arduino Uno. My projects will be one
Arduino 3 servos 1 bluetooth. i will be using the servos to open mini
blinds. i want to control them with app using my android phone. if possible
I’m trying to use app that can be label each knob on the app if possible
“blind 1″ “blind 2″ “blind 3″ if this is possible. The only one thing is
running the wires from the Arduino to the servos will just make it look
messy, so i was thinking one servo wont be that hard which will be with the
main unit with the Arduino also attach to one blind, getting to the other 2
blinds the wire would be exposed. Is there away to use xbee with a battery
supply connected directed to the servo and xbee just to control the servo
or will that be skippy for the servo? If the wire being exposed the most
effective way then thats ok. give me your thoughts please anything helps.
My strongest field is machanical so i know how to research and development
very well the codes get me everytime so with your help i can easly get this
project complete. If you can when writing the code just put notes in the
code what wires go where.
please email me @your earliest convience

Some great info in here, but this doesn't seem like the right application
for ble considering the distance limitation. Perhaps you could adapt this
project to use a 3G connection?
+steven bloomfield Kevin's system would be easy to adapt to whatever comm technology you want, because it's using an off-the-shelf remote starter. If you can get a wire to turn on at the remote you can get it to start ;)
it shouldn't cost too much but you are right it would be a slight fee. im thinking about making one that why i brought it up, where i live it gets very cold in the winter and i would love to start my car inside of the factory i work at right before lunch or after work to have it nice and toasty when i get out. a few thing i would add to it are that it locks the door when it starts also the engine shuts down if the brake or gas are touched without the key in, it wouldn't be to hard to through together an android app to control it either, or just use a text messing based system
+steven bloomfield Sure you can, and it's about the same difficulty level as it would be with bluetooth. I'm sure Kevin just wanted to make it with bluetooth for fun, and plus to do over gsm it'll cost you a fee to keep the car's 'cellphone' plan alive.I've done it in my car, although remote start isn't one of the things it does, more of a security system/remote-stop. Thinking of doing remote start in the future, but my code has some problems I need to fix first. Not sure if on-star offers remote start, but they have a lot of the same security features my system has for 4+ times the membership fee.
+Andy Plater you're absolutely right - I forgot to mention that in the video. It's not bad for when your car just out in the driveway, but not great for large parking lots or really any distance greater than ~10m
