A great review actually. I got my Acer C720 yesterday for $200 and I have
been playing with it. I gotta tell you this may very well be exactly what I
need. Its very fast, light weight, runs cold and very long battery life. I
also like the keyboard because I can conveniently use it on my lap and get
things done in a fast way. Good luck using a tablet with keyboard on your
lap. Now as far as laptop pricing goes it is really insane how expensive
they are getting these days. Imagine paying over $800 for the Surface Pro 3
without the keyboard. With that I can get four of these Chromebooks and my
family and friends will thank me a lot. The C720 is definitely a great buy
at $200.
I have the nexus and am completely sold on the Google operating platform. I
am a student and have my big Toshiba Satellite for running CAD and writing
code but I want a second computer for accessing things online that I can
use in school. My problem is I am in Canada but I would go to the states to
buy one. Problem being they seem to be sold out EVERYWHERE. Have they
stopped making the Samsung or are they just out of stock. The Acer is in
stock but is it worth waiting for the Samsung? Thank you
I have a Windows 7 laptop and I use it mostly for Office? FaceBook and
iTunes. I also love Windows 7 a lot, but am unsure about the direction
Microsoft is taking. I recently purchased a Google Nexus 7 and a second
generation Amazon Kindle Fire. I love the Android 4.1.2 Jellybean OS and
the Kindle Fire is a great media device too. I am considering a Chromebook
as a second laptop since the price is great, but I think the problem
between the three competing OS makers is that they don't share their
A touchscreen is good in a small unit you can held on your hand. Nothing
bigger than a 10 inch tablet. But on a large monitor or even on a laptop
using a touch screen is awkward. Nice as a secondary thing but it is much
easier to interact with the PC/Monitor thru a regular keyboard and a good
trackball, built into the keyboard if you will, a touchpad or a good mouse.
With the Chromebook I can rest my hands down and interact with the PC for
hours, not having to lift them every other second.
I'm not terribly excited by W8. I was at first, but I realized it's just a
souped up W7 with cues from WP7. My tablet(HP Touchpad) sucks for a lot of
things. I much prefer to browse the web on my laptop. The only apps I use
aside from Chrome are VLC, Musescore Audacity and u(micro)Torrent. I pretty
much do almost everything online, so the Chromebook would be a great fit
for me.
Ricky I wanna congratulate you for this video. I recently purchased a
Galaxy tab 2 10.1 running on icecream sandwich and can't get my hands off
of it. I'm considering a 5 series chromebook for Christmas since I'm in
college and other than that I hardly use my XP desktop. So, what do you
think I should do?
For iTunes you can just take every song you have from there and bring it
over to Google Music, all songs and playlist. Also even if you buy music on
iTunes you can have it automatically upload to Google Music. You are right
about the Spotify for now, but I'm sure they'll have an app for that soon
Why should I buy a chrome book which I'm very interested in, when I can buy
a nexus 7? I already use a galaxy note for phone and just about everything
else. Is it Worth a purchase or should it be a nexus 7 or just stick with
my note that does everything the other 2 products do!? Help
They don't share their markets the way Apple made i'Tunes available for
Windows. Now Windows 8 as far as I know does not support iTunes and vice
versa. Why separate and alienate when you can synergize and grow a shared
audience!
Your review was honestly one of the best reviews I have found on here
regarding who should consider buying the new Samsung Chromebook's! You had
me laughing a lot which is also cool. I definitely "liked" this vid! Cheers
:)
I most of the time want the laptop for just browsing the internet but i
also do a lot of video editing. Does this have some good programs on it for
editing videos? and do u think this is the right laptop for me?
There's Google Play Music, Amazon Cloud Player, ect. I mean, if you have an
iPhone/iPod/iPad, don't spring for a Chromebook. I think Spotify is working
on a web client(I don't use it, but it's what I heard.)
i like falcon, but sadly i cant get a token (had to delete data because of
the last update and now all tokens are alreay taken...) so i am forced to
use Tweedle and/or Robird and/or Tweet Lanes. But Falcon is the best of all
these, but Tweedle/Robird/Tweet Lanes are good too!
i know this is an old post however if you never figured it out, you can
still use falcon pro. When you go to log in and it says its out of tokens
click on the sign in button in the top right and sign in. Its a way to
bypass it
Hi I just got my first Droid phone and I installed this app and love it but
I dont know how to close it or for that matter any other opens apps running
in the background. Please help?
+silentbutterfly89 You can change it if you want. I did. When I'm actively on YouTube then I'll read/reply but otherwise I don't like it consuming my inbox space.
+mfaisal105 The apology means nothing to me at all anyway regardless of who's saying it. That would imply I care what the person said, and I don't care at all.
