hahaha, i find it takes a long time to start up and for everything to load, i got this tv working reasonably well but the smart functions such as catch up TV services are deadset hopeless ABC iView for example no sound but picture, but the rest neither. How hard is it for them to bring out an update for this, it's a joke! I have already reflashed this TV 3 times i won't be doing it again it should work straight out of box, glad it's only for my old man cannot wait to purchase a Bravia 4k Android TV can guarentee it'll work!

When first shut down they have a bulb cooling process they go through. Before bashing shit maybe you should learn how they work first... DUUUh! This is like putting a car in gear then trying to start it and bitching cause it wont turn over saying it's Junk.. Dang Some peoples kids. Never in my whole life habe i seen a 1500 dollar 32 inch tv. Let alone an 800 one. Is it a 4k 32 inch tv? Very very misleading tv brand specially when i got a 55 inch for 1500 brand new model when it came out from samsung. Now if kogun is actually good quality tvs without any wifi smart tv bullshit and gimmicks than count me in. But this video didnt prove that

Hello, have you done the firmware update ? If so, did you have any issues ? Cant get my tv read the bin file on the usb. The usb port is fine as i tested it but for some reason i can't update the firmware.

+diamonddave77 Yes if there is an update I would suggest you install it. You should be able to find out what the update does and if it is related to audio sync problems. Since I did the video I mentioned to my brother that I know someone with a Kogan. I didn't tell him it was me. He almost vomited on the spot and just said and I quote "they are utter crap" And believe me, he should know. Sorry I cannot be of more assistance.

Because I have the 3D 65" TV and when I'm watching 3d movies the audio is out of sync. Kogan sent me an email telling me to download and install the new firmware update. If they release an update wouldn't it need to be installed ? I dunno. Unless you have any other ideas how to rectify sync issues ?Cheers

+diamonddave77 Why did you do a firmware update? If it is under warranty doesn't that void it? Mine is still under warranty so no I haven't done a firmware update. I would only attempt it if you are having problems with your TV so again I ask, why are you trying to do it? I suspect the file is corrupt. Try downloading it again on a cleanly formatted flash drive.

When you say that you're a tech. Do you work down to component level or just replace boards, etc?

+5586703 Sometimes components but usually boards. My brother was one of the first techs in the whole state and even he doesn't bother (most of the time) with components. I am limited to caps, diode and the occasional ic if I am instructed but changing DVD loaders is a piece of cake.

Yep having same problems new out of box, it's outdated android for one which causes a lot of problems, and the home screen damn if you had options to remove a lot of the junk most people wouldn't even want their it might be smoother! Have you reflashed it at all?

Not till now no that's right, have you seen the new Bravia 4k Androids? I have used those now that is a smart tv! I cannot wait to get my hands on the 55 inch model later this year. Just tried that firmware update update got a few things working Tenplay and SBS on demand, others aren't working though, lucky for Kogan i like nutting out this shit!

We've abandoned the whole smart tv idea. It's good in theory, but the implementation on ALL of them is terrible... There's none where you can just plug a HDMI cable in and bypass all the smart bits when the smart bits break. Which they do. So it was a 55" or so one.

what model dick smith tv mate? I couldn't find any smart tvs in 32 inch anywhere near the Kogans pricepoint, got a firmware update patch to try tomorrow failing that i'll get a refund and they can pay shipping as well, it's clear these products aren't thoroughly tested before going to market!

+davidw101 We sent it back and got a refund. It broke this way three times. We ended up getting a dick smith TV for $500 which looked just as good, and didn't have the un-bypassable android interface.
