Love your review! Thank you for showing how to annotate PDFs. I Think
Lenovo should buy out or Partner with EverNote. I am surprise Evernote is
not like the defacto standard Note taking App. I really hope Lenovo / IBM
develops a community around this novel new tablet. Furthermore, I hope they
listen to community and develop Lenovo branded apps with the IBM
reliability seal of approval. Would you recommend this for a math class
where you draw lots of symbols, triangles, Greek letters, etc ?
I like the thinkpad tablet, and might still get one but as you say, "they
need a little bit more work on the UI". One of the things that Apple had
going for it is that ultimately it was Steve Jobs responsibility. If the
reception of the phone is faulty because of manufacturing, it's Steve Jobs.
With lenovo their great advantage, pressure sensitive stylus input, can't
be highlighted because of mediocre software. But is it clear whose fault it
is? Will it be fixed?
@intellectable Thanks, glad that the videos are useful. I also agree that
it would have been very nice if Evernote was intergrated with the Note app
in the ThinkPad Tablet. The HTC Flyer does this so seemly to save notes to
Evernote. I have found a way to save the notes to Evernote. Just couple
extra steps but works. Yes the ThinkPad tablet would work for taking notes
with symbols with no problem. I will post a quick video to show those
features.
This video demonstrates how to annotate PDF documents on Lenovo Thinkpad
tablet using the pen and an app called EZPDF. I don't believe this app
comes packaged with Thinkpad so you'll need to purchase it. You should also
give a try to another app called qPDFNotes which allows to review PDF
documents as well as fill interactive forms. There's a youtube video
demonstrating the capabilities of qPDF Notes that you can search for.
Is there a way of using formula recognition while marking up PDFs? I'd like
to use this for teaching symbolic logic. I would want to have pre-written
PDF files with definitions, and work through examples in the white space,
with the tablet recognizing symbols and overlaying them on the page. Is
this something the Thinkpad can do? Thanks!
a tablet for drawing? i dont recommended this one. in a artist perspective,
i would recommend the lenovo x pc tablet series. i have one myself the
x220t which is great for drawing, it has pressure sensitivity also, great
with 2d and 3d works.
@you2449 I had tried FreeNote a while back on a SGT 10 but not on the
ThinkPad Tablet. At that time FreeNote didn't sync to DropBox, so I didn't
use it anymore. I have been using WritePad which works great on the
ThinkPad tablet.
@StormBringer44 depending on the ink app. But don't expect to get paper and
pen feel when writing on the screen. Not bad once you get use to it. Try to
using a pen on a glass table so that you can get the feel.
@ellis45ful No it's not 3G, but does have the slot inside and the SIM Card
slot so you can put your own 3G modem to make it a 3G or 4G tablet. I have
a video that I will upload on how easy to open the TPT.
Can you tell if it has any effects, when you write long notes in the PDF
app? Because this was a problem with the HTC Flyer, it became really slow
and unusable if you wrote long notes.
@MrHG78 Does yours have the new Qualcomm chipset that makes you have 3G
built in? Look at Lenovo's site, they say it has integrated 3G that can be
used with quite a few carriers now.
when I trying to purchase this ezPDF from Android market, it showed " This
app is incompatible with your lenovo Thinkpad Tablet." Could anyone tell
what the hells going on?
Since the ThinkPad Tablet 2 is running full Windows 8, you can open PDF
files with the default Reader from Windows 8 and basically use your Stylus
to mark up the PDF file.
Yes it is a free upgrade. Go to menu and then settings and down bottom
about device. You should see an option to check for update. Runs much
faster with Ice 4.0
Ever tried that Android note taking App: 'FreeNote' ? Seems like it would
work great with the Pen. (even better than the bundled Note Taking App,
maybe)

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 Review
Lisa Gade reviews the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, the middle size in Samsung's new line of Pro Android tablets. The tablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat with ...
? Note 12.2 and tab pro 12.2 are over 100 bucks more than each other so
there different, my question was do you think note 10.1 2014 is as good as
tab pro 12.2 or is tab pro better,.
The Note Pro 12.2 an Tab Pro 12.2 differ only in the pen and related software. That is a difference, but it's the only one. Between Note 10.1 2014 and Tab Pro 12.2, it really depends on whether you want the pen and what size you prefer.
+Johnathan Dalipsingh I think if it had that much RAM, it would be a waste because because I don't think an Android Tablet would use more than 2.5GB at once, ever.
But then the processor and GPU will not be able to process all that information at once. It will store it for ready use but it'll bottle neck really bad.
