+Le Kanraposte I spent 30+ years as a female network engineer for the DoD, I was usually the only female (in network engineering) at exercises and everything else. When a male and I went to Bahrain to fix some stuff, we got intel that we were about to get hit with scud missiles that night. The guy had a wife and 3 kids, I did not... guess who went home on a plane to not be in the area. HE DID... because he had kids and the guys gave him so much shit about it, but I told them that we were a team (he and I) and we had made the decision, so it wasn't their say. I stayed on the extra week to cover the whole job (we were rebuilding PCs from a pile of shit in order to have equipment to process intel on). I have never been treated poorly in the industry and I've even led some super awesome prototype projects because I was good at what I do. Only once did some guy try to take credit for my work and I spoke up like a big dog and when the commander tried to apologize, I told him that it would mean a hell of a lot more if it was written in the form of a bonus check. The next week, I had my bonus.I just cannot get these women who start whining about sexism. The real problem is that they are shit at their jobs, so don't get promotions and want to find anything other than "I don't know my ass from a hole in the ground" as an excuse for why they're not getting promotions.

One or two percent actually going after a degree in it. (With more taking the classes just for credits along the way.)I don't' know that though. It would be interesting to find out.
