the ASPP score wasn't particularly bold because stealing it sets up

it isn't a pain if it secures a flatline win. it was a very intelligent, no lose play from the corp. if the ASPP goes unchallenged, you get a scored ASPP. if it is challenged, you Midseasons and win by flatline shortly thereafter. if you merely play a Breaking News then if it goes unchallenged all you get is 1 AP which you could have scored just as easily out of hand.

Interesting finish!
I was surprised the corp player blew so much of their bankroll on that
Midseasons play. I mean, the runner was at zero credits. There wasn't any
reason to put all those extra tags on the runner that I could see.

NBN players do that to allow themselves a huge Psychographics + Project Beale play of 6 or even 7 points worth. Information Overload can do pretty things too with that many tags.

He just spent the 5 for the event + his 2 free recurring credits. I suppose he could have not spent the recurring credits, knowing that he would have the double scorch next turn no matter what, and then used those credits on the troll, but it still wouldn't have made a difference, because Gabe could still pay through the troll once and eat the click loss once.

+Chris M Oh. Guess I missed the news team. Regardless, if I were him I would have just imped the QPM and then kept trying to mess stuff up in your HQ. Was just wondering if you also thought this was the better play.

+John Pearson Well, because of the News Team he was only on 4 points. But I do think Imping the QPM is the strongest play by far because of how exposed he is to Midseasons and because I don't have 2 agendas scored to threaten 24/7. He should have done that, then Parasited the HQ ICE the next turn and tried to kill Midseasons with the other Imp token.

Hey I'm the corp in this game. Just wanted to give some insights into the
game.
I mulligan hand with one ice with good econ and no agendas. I ice R/D
because hey he isn't going to siphon me right off if I have to leave HQ
open right? lol After that pop up was the second ice I drew so I had to
throw it down there. Him taking the lotus field later really hurt.
At 12:10 when I install a new remote, I draw a beale. I then draw 2nd
click into another beale. You can see what I draw if you look close. No
ice for HQ. So I just play my beanstalk and pretend nothing is the
matter. I keep those in my hand for the rest of the game.
I was really lucky when at 13:40 David runs R/D and imps out another NAPD
and steals the breaking news. I then top Astro off the top. I think if he
hadn't seen those agendas, he woulda been inclined to run HQ but after
seeing those prob thought HQ was empty.
