Exactly what I thought.

Its the step up method.  IE you buy a Mercedes A Class as a 20 something, once you hit your 30s or 40s get into the E/G/M/ML etc class, and once you get to your 50s they hope you'll step up to the S etc. The whole face of the freaking phone mimics Windows Phone OS just to confuse the people not in the known thinking they're purchasing a super cheap WP device.  Which is odd since Nokia already offers cheap WP devices around the world.

It's because they're selling it on poor countries and people would try to eat it.

+MickJay Glaze Oh, definitely. I'm disappointed that Nokia (who normally makes fantastic WP devices) would create a device like this that's just not very good. I would never buy this device, nor would I buy it for someone or recommend it to someone else, but if someone for some reason chooses to buy it for Gram and Gramps to keep up with the grand-kids or something, it should be just fine (actually, the dual sim slots would be good for something like this). The Moto G and low end Lumias are all far better budget smartphones than this, but it's not like it has a bad build or doesn't do the features that the target audience wants it to do, it just isn't a good value compared to everything else that's out on the market.

+Papinguim People who are not tech savvy don't have to purchase the Nokia X, they can buy a Galaxy or a Nexus device because they have modes that make the experience more simple for a first time user. 

you all want same phone from every manufacturer? same like the idiots saying to unify Formula 1 engines brakes etc. as well! hell people forced MS to bring notification central to WP, it wasn't needed! live tiles are good!we need diversity and different phones! new designs in hardware and software, able to do same stuff but in a different manner!

Why would you compare a low end phone with flagships? Sure phones like the Lumia 520/620 and Moto G are far better, but it should be fine for not very tech savvy people. I think it's just the X that is pretty bad, and from what I've heard, the X+ and especially the XL are much more capable budget devices.

Olha trava um pouco como qualquer android instalado em um smartphone com configurações modesta. porem não é nada que chegue a atrapalhar muito, mais uma dica é vc não arrancar a película que vem junto ao aparelho, pois a tela dele pega muita umidade e dai se não tiver a película a tela fica doida rsrsrs se mexe sozinha, agora sendo sincero eu indico este aparelho mais por curiosidade por que no mercado existem aparelhos bem melhores 2 exemplos moto e e moto g. abraço e boa semana
