Our wedding dance - Give me love - Raluca & Sebastian (23.05.2015 - Brasov.)
Triumph of Love is a song that I wrote with Jonathan Cain for our wedding on Dec. 15th last year for my beautiful wife Michaele... Happy Anniversary Michaele ...
Only Neal Schon has the Best guitar tone, no other guitarist has that type
of musical tone. His guitar tone on his album "Voice" is just mind blowing,
rich, bright, fat and musical.
+redflw pretty sure he's using an Axe FX ii modeller from the looks of his pedal board so this tone is extremely common place. I thought he overplayed about 800% He should go back to his Santana Caravanserai roots to find tasteful heartfelt space and listen to Santana Moonflower for a truly awesome live organic tone!
I know this is sounding negative but not meant to be. I prefer
"Santana-era Neal Schon" and "early-Journey" Neal Schon... reason, less
effects, back then he was just playing a Les Paul through a suped-up Fender
Twin...He also didn't seem to overpass the speed-thing... still think he's
one of the best though...
agreed, he got into FX in the 80s, and i think he got lost... same thing happened to lukather, but, he realized it, and got back, ... he even mentioned that some years ago... buried in reverb and delay isnt a good sound, and you cant hear what they REAllY are doing, which is amazing.. stil killler but, yeah, agree
+Joe Now I love Vai..hes a technical genius on guitar ..his legato is a work of art..BUT ...the dude can't write a great song...he had 1 great album..Passion and Warfare ...other Than that I can't name one that is great ..Neal Schon might not be as technically gifted but he blows Vai away in the feel and emotion department ..Plus Neal has a great body of work under his belt ..go listen to Beyond the thunder ..i would love to hear you play the solo to send me an angel since you can play anything Neal can...or Go look up the Journey Castles Burning Solo ...Hardline In the Hands of time solo ..Please the floor is all yours
+Joe Now first, joe didnt TEACH vai, he helped teach, vai was already amazing.. as is Joe, and, joes favorite guitar player, and friend, is neal schon.. neal was shredding at woodstock at the age of 15, i think, .... all subjective, but, joe and neal are my favorite.. vai is interesting, very good, but, not so great, in my opinion.. not the same feel and melody as the other two... but no way does those guys "blow away" neal.. he plays things those two cant figure out... as do they to him... all three equaling incredible;
No probs, it's YouTube and it's almost par for the course. :) I think we can agree to differ on Neal here. Enjoy your Les Paul and whatever music you make with it. You take care too.
Thanks, I am familiar with Satriani's connection with Vai just as I am with their work. They are both superb guitarists although Vai leaves me cold at times.Les Paul models are inconsistent sods! I have three Gibsons, as well as a Heritage H-140, and the Standards are all over the place build wise. They all work well alongside my Fenders Yamahas and PRS's which is the main thing. But the main one is that in my little profile pic. It was built by Martyn Booth (the man who designed the Yamaha MSG/Image models) to my specifications. It's not quite a custom build as the basic shape of the body can't be altered but the wood is good. Is your LP a VOS production model or a 'Custom Shop' creation?
Indeed. What amazes me is that he's been in the music business for 45 years and has never burned out, never lost his passion for making new music and has retained a love for the guitar that seems undimmed. I'd go as far as to say that he's playing better now than he ever has. On top of all of that he seems to be in a good place spiritually and emotionally at the moment. Way to go Neal!
