Hemorrhoid surgery banding Videos

+Michael Burrell I didn't have the banding procedure as in this video. I had a hemorrhoidectmy.

Michael, I don't know your age but I am 32. I've been told that I'm actually ahead of schedule in the healing dept. However, this surgery was no joke.

+Michael Burrell I bleed when I use the restroom, I need to add more fiber to the diet, additionally, I take lortab for back issues and this doesn't help. I feel like I am 80+ recovered at this point. I go for a follow-up with the Doctor soon. My two cents would be, if you are tired of hemorrhoids and you want to get rid of them forever. Just know it is the one of the most painful surgeries out there (a nurse told me this) and make sure you are prepared for it. It was so bad after that II had to use three pillows just to sit down. Coughing even hurt. But if you have a serious problem with hemorrhoids (they found internal ones in me too) - I think it best to have the surgery but don't forget that this has a very very long recovery time. - Be Well!

What would you recommend anyone with hemorrhoids do?

I got hemorrhoids after moving a very large vending machine down a flight of stairs.  They were huge immediately after.  The doctors rushed me through their system and three days later (day before Thxgiving) I had the hemorrhoidectomy - which pretty much, they cut the hemorrhoid out and you'll never get one again in that area.  The told me, I may have to come in for second procedure in the future =/

I have and I waited to long to do something about but I made the first step towards fixing the problem. So it's bitter sweet.

I had to stay at home for five weeks, two ER visits, lot of crying, night without sleep, unable to walk, morphine CT Scan and big medical bill. Unfortunately the first Doctor I saw was not good. I saw second doctor when I couldn't stand more pain. Hopefully he was able to help me, same day I saw him, my pain level went down. He prescribed a nitrogen based compound ointment that was like magic to the horrible pain I had. If it goes wrong it is going to be bad.
