Unable to open exe files/program files in Windows 10 [Method II]
Unable to open .exe files and program files in Windows 10? You can fix it quite simply. Download these two files and right click on the downloaded files (One ...
. .exe is a windows only file system..... It's architecture was built off
of windows, it's physically impossible for .exe files to run on a linux
based operating system which is what Chromebooks run on, ChromeOS. It's
linux. If you wanted to play your precious games you should have looked
into what a chromebook is before you bought one. So yeah, again, no offense
but your petition is pointless. It's 100% impossible for exe files to run
on a chromebook. Even if Google wanted them too, they couldn't, because it
wouldn't work and exe is a Windows trademark. They own that file type name.
+ShitNibbler Productions Good job. Although i did make a mistake by asking people to sign this petition. Through this way not many computer restrictions can be dealt with; especially in this case.
+Joshua Hecht Can't Google supply an "App" (foolish name) that will allow .exe files to be played on a Chromebook? You would just click on it to start the exe file. Or is this too simple-minded?
I don't think you understand the point of a Chromebook. Chromebooks are
designed for basic web-based applications, they are inexpensive and are
marketed towards students. Most chromebooks have Intel Celeron processors,
if you know anything about Intel's line of processors you would know
Celerons are basically extremely low end and are NOT made for anything that
requires power. Last but definitely not least Chrome OS is linux based,
this means that it cannot run .EXE files because .EXE is for Windows and
Windows only. Google has no control over software support, Chrome OS has
limitations. So please stop roaming the internet with your non-sense.
+Esteban chavez i know how low and basic Chromebooks are. I completely upgraded everything inside my chromebook. With even the basic and factory made chromebook you can run minecraft on the highest graphic settings so with that said they can handle some high preformace games including skyrim. I know what google made them for but with my videos i help people who cant afford high end and who end up with a chromebook to run a do what they want to do with it. Lastly I have recorded proof that a chromebook can run .EXE files. Thank you for the feed back though. its greatly appreciated.
