Thank you John for sharing this information. It prompted me to go to a different Asian market in our town today. Wish they had the same prices you showed! Their coconuts (Aroma brand) were $16.20 for a case of 9. I'd love to find a place to get the Mexican coconuts. I'll have to hunt for those. Thanks for showing them because I really thought they were in the white husk like the Young Thai coconuts. Such good info! I appreciate it very much. Debbie *Ü*

yes! watch out! most juicers will not process sugar cane. I have sucessfully juiced sugar cane with single auger juicer, but you need to precut the sugar cane into thin strips with no "rind" That being said, I do not reccomend people juice sugar cane, as it will ruin many juicers. Thawed sugarcane will be a little softer than fresh sugarcane.

luv the Asian supermarkets - always stock up on the teas, lotus roots, and seaweed/laver. A lot of the seaweeds that John held up have been heat treated, not naturally dried, and have a flavor coating added to them. Some seaweed sources are dodgy, too - ie, contaminated water.

Very cool but why aren't you setting an example and using your own green grocery bags. I mean, chico bags can be found virtually everywhere now.

You are right and I am not perfect. Are you? I often times use a reusable bag and/or use no bag or use a cardboard box.

Why don't you like frozen produce? It's often more fresh than non-frozen produce.

How long do you let frozen stuff thaw before using it. I am worried that something like a frozen strawberry would damage my auger straight out of the freezer. (I have the omega 8006 but the concept is the same still, right?)

This TriBest blender looks like the blender for me. I can't see spending the $400-600 for some of these Cadillac blenders. Can we get on a waiting list or get an email when this is available? I also really like the glass carafe. Does this blender blend as well as some of the other blenders/have enough blending power?

I havent done enough testing yet on this blender. This blender is NO vitamix, and will not perform the same as a vitamix, but does fairly well. As soon as I get one I will do a side-by-side test. Stay tuned for a upcoming episode where I do use the Dynablend.

Looking forward seeing more from the new Tribest Blender. And I'm looking forward seeing your test of the Vitamix Professional Series 750.
