Hopefully one day I will have a slowstar. I was hurt at my job of 30 years
back ,fractured neck and shoulders. I at one time weighed 455 lbs and I
lost 120 lbs.My weight after getting hurt was on its way back up at 360
lbs. I started juicing with a Jack Lalane juicer my wife found for 10
dollars. I still eat regular food and juice veggies once a day and fruit
the same plus eat a salad with my dinner. I have already lost 6 lbs and I
feel a ton better. If anybody is on the fence about juicing I say give it a
try, you won't be sorry.

Would blending the dried tomatoes first then adding the dates and juice
help speed up the blending and make it smoother?

Why juice the tomatoes first to make paste though? Why not just add some
fresh tomatoes to the dried ones and blend them up?

+Matt K 1) Different texture. I didn't want to have a thick paste that is fiber rich. 2) Blending may not liberate the lycopene as efficienctly as the juicer3) More diluted (with fiber) 4) The blender like the high speed juicer lowers the availability of cancer fighting compounds more than the juicer.

+DiscountJuicers.com I have watched your videos and I am torn between the Kuvings Whole slow juicer and the Slowstar... Since I am new to Juicing I don't want to make an expensive mistake! I will probably be making a lot of green juice with a bit of sweet fruit added, since I want to cleanse first. However I want it to juice everything well! Will either of these do wheat grass? Thank You...

+Witcherworks I like each of them for specific reasons. They each have their pros and cons. If you will be juicing any number of carrots, the Slowstar may be a better option as the VSJ843 stalls when juicing carrots.
