I talk about the tour and all that fun stuff lol I suggest you go on one because it really helped answer some questions we had and made us feel a little bit better :)
I like they provide pads and underwear and stuff, I'd still bring my own
however, after you give birth, you don't want to wear hospital underwear,
you want your comfortable stuff. And you will more than likely decide to
get dressed in your own clothing afterwards. It makes you feel more
comfortable in a place you don't want to be. And I wish I had a nice
hospital like that here in Edmonton! Mine was not the nicest. Just had the
best NICU success rate in Canada. Good luck girl!!!
I think that is stupid that people can come visit the baby but not hold
him. When I had my daughter everyone in my family and my husbands came at
some point during our stay and held the baby. I will be so mad if my
hospital doesn't allow people to hold my son this time around. He is my son
and if I want his aunt or someone else to hold him then that should by my
choice not the hospital. Besides, you can make people wash their hands
before holding him. Just my thought :)
Well if you want to take classes I suggest you call and register at your
hospital and see what they offer by 25 weeks. That way you can get in all
the classes. As for the tour you can go whenever without registering. Just
call and ask or look it up on the website if they have one. we waited too
long so we couldnt get in all the classes we wanted so just check it out lol
we went on our tour yesterday! That light was so freaky. It made everything
seem so REAL. My legs started shaking as soon as we got to the L&D room.
Depending on how busy the day is, I may have to move to a postpartum room a
few hours after I have the baby. The L&D suite is very luxurious, but the
postpartum room has a more comfortable bed. :)
Oh it sounds so exciting now that you've toured the birth center at the
hospital!! I bet it feels more real now. The hospital sounds really high
tech and that's good. Our local hospital just updated their womens center.
Fingers crossed that I'll be able to visit there one day :)
I bet it still feels so surreal that you will be having your baby there. I
almost cried when i saw the room and knew that i would be in there having
my daughter..can`t wait to see his little face..Im sooo excited for you. xox
I had no clue hospitals do that when my mother had my brother they didn't
do anything like that they put my brother in a separate room...your
hospital sounds like a high security prision haha..but that's good :D
congrats
your hospital sounds amazing!! did they say when in general people should
go for their tours? there is like 1 big checklist i need to make for stuff
to get done... by when would you say i should have these things done?
Yeah I still need to upload that one lol I had to upload these old school
instead so it took me longer then it usually does. I will try and redo the
video with my questions because i have more now lol
lol I guess Aaron and I just think differently :) We figure they can wait
two days until we get home to hold him. We had to wait two years so they
can wait a few days lol
