Hammer Test: BruxZir® vs PFM
Having survived countless hours of rigorous scientific testing at the hands of Glidewell Laboratories' award-winning R&D department, BruxZir® has been called ...
@tummypinky2 Keep your face out of trouble. Blows to the face are usually
caused by behavioral issues. Sometimes they are your behavioral issue,
sometimes they come from standing the line when backing off would work
better for someone elses behavioral problem, and sometimes your ass is dog
meat, no matter what. i think the bigger issue is wear to the opposing
teeth.
No. PFM is porcelain fused to metal. As we all know porcelain is fragile
and is not meant to withstand pressure. Your natural enamel is stronger
than a PFM or even a full gold crown. Keep up with your dental hygiene and
try to keep your pearly whites healthy! But if you must have a tooth
colored posterior crown, BruzZir is a nice option.
Funny stuff guys. We all know PFM's are weak compaired to monolithic
zirconia so why not try this test vs a gold crown. Better yet, if you want
to call it bullet proof then why not shoot it. That would make for a great
vid.
POLISHED zirconia is less abrasive to opposing teeth than Porcelain.
Especially porcelain that has been in use for several years. It will
mainain its smooth finish when porcelain does not.
Cool, but I might want my porcelain to fracture, as a stress breaker,
during trauma to the jaw. Bragging rights after a deadly blow to the face:
zirconia intact -- tooth root splintered.
