One of my first calls as a paramedic was this exact scenario. Besides pain
control, are there any other interventions that might benefit the pt such
as ASA, etc?

Not much one can do. ASA is not a bad idea.

AAA and lived to tell about it. He is a very lucky man and guessing if he
didn't come in when he did he wouldn't be with us. I don't know the odds of
catching a AAA but it has to be very low. And to top it off he could of had
a PE or any number of other issues that don't turn out well. In 10 years of
working life and disability claims I have seen maybe enough to count on one
hand that lived to file a disability claim.
