Aspartame is, by Far, the Most Dangerous Substance on the Market that is
Added To Foods like diet coke. Aspartame accounts for over 75 percent of
the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA. Many of these
reactions are very serious including seizures and death. Say no to Diet
Coke w nutrisweet. Demand that CocaCola Co in Atlanta GA switches to a
natural sweeter like Stevia.
Steve Spangler preparing for his October 2010 appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show by making a rainbow fountain of Elephant's Toothpaste. About Steve ...
What's different about this Elephant Toothpaste demo that makes it so
explosive? Does it have to do with the concentration of the catalyst? I've
tried it with 30% hydrogen peroxide, dish soap, and potassium iodide in my
AP chemistry class, but it didn't do much more than rise a little above the
top of the beaker. Please comment if you know how to get this splendid
result!
Hey "science guy", the potassium iodide is a REACTANT, not a catalyst...
Also btw, the foam is perfectly harmless given that all the H2O2 was
reacted. If there was some excess and it was concentrated it's probably
irritating to the skin.
Excuse me, Mr. Spangler, I was wondering what the recipe for this
experiment was? You don't have to worry or anything, I'm 17 and I'm going
to be doing it with my science teacher, she is a Biochemist so I'll be in
safe hands.
If I´m correct my science teacher did thesame thing in class. The reaction
was a bit less violent, but afterwards he ignited it! That´s possible
because the bubbles are filled with oxygen
It's a catalyst he never says exactly what it is mostly because I think
it's a dangerous chemical but you can use active dry yeast instead but you
wont get as big of a reaction
Well, if i'm doing the reaction correct in my head, shouldn't it produce
oxygen bubbles which get caught in the soap bubbles. Just set the bubbles
on fire to get rid of them.
with hydrogen peroxide 50% it still did not zoom up.....it just came out
about 10inches higher than the nozzle..what can be done to increase the
intensity of the reaction
the catalyst can be potassium permanganate(condys crystals) and the foam is
okay to touch,bt it stains your hands and it is dangerous if you dont use
the dishsoap :)
I tried what u did and my baby brother didn't know what was gonna happened
and he didn't move back so it landed on him and he told me he pooped his
pants alittle
@Yackasss Actually the SSKI IS the catalyst. This is Hydrogen Peroxide
decomposing, so nothing reacts with it, the SSKI helps it do so, though.
Robotic Car - Cool Science Experiment
Two girls from Science Olympiad show off their invention. About Steve Spangler Science... Steve Spangler is a celebrity teacher, science toy designer, speaker, ...
Wait, even their teacher admits they got the plans for the car off the
internet, and only had to build it... and they get a science award for
that? I guess the standards are pretty low.
@RFC3514 Agreed. Isn't the whole point of it to think of a design yourself
and then see if it works? I guess it's just whoever finds the better
website :/
