no it doesn't, EU has named your country #1 for violence. Your rape, break-ins, carjacking, robbery and muggings are higher than the US and higher than any other European country. All you did was legislate good people out of there inherent right of self-preservation; an instinct that all organism have on this earth, and what is total bullshit is criminals can sue if you defend yourself.

Well I'm not sure what the stance you're trying to take is. You're saying "criminals everywhere can access guns" when the simple numbers (even using the UK as an example rather than an even more extreme case, such as Australia) show that gun control reduces gun crime to a tiny, tiny fraction that of the United States. Take that for what you will.

Well, the rate of gun deaths per 100,000 people in the UK was .23 in 2011. In the United States, it was 10.3 per 100,000. I don't know about these fractions you're talking about, but that's a pretty staggering difference.
