+Ryan DavisSriracha is good yes, but doesnät hold a candle to Blair's original and golden death sauce. about the same heat as sriracha, but much better taste but an awful lot more expensive
Tastewise, the Ghost chili is the winner. Much fruitier and flavorful than the other superhots. But the heat , although hotter, is more pleasant and less.. Agressive in TMS. But my all time top 3 chilies are not in the superhot category lol Habanero, chipotle and Aji lemon are amazing in food
+Ryan DavisI got those friends as well. But i've at least blessed one of them with the knowledge of Chipotle. It's not hot until it's Carolina Reaper painful!
+Ryan Davis Which is not even that hot. It's the weakest of the superhot class chili and a candy like this is nowhere near what the real chili is like. I Haven't tried this one, (but I've had Trinidad Moruga Scorpion candy which is made from a considerably hotter chili) but it's probably in line with Tabasco sauce if even that.

+viljamtheninja Well in my opinion the ghost pepper reactions are just plain funnier, not so much a matter of status quo, more a matter of the intensity of the reaction
+viljamtheninja I guess, is just the average person just a challenger to habeneros, I know that habeneros are still pretty hot, but it gets a little mundane to see it all the time
+ecgameplayer No, there are quite a number of different peppers. But habanero is the staple one, just so it's more of a special treat when they bring in the big ones. I'm thinking it's the guests that choose which one they want to do.
+Reed Altorfer I'm almost halfway through this, and I'm already cracking up. He starts off so focused and energetic and then just melts into a puddle of frenetic insane babbling.I love it.

any chance you can make a video explaining how you made your system? would
love to learn. also how do you over winter such a large tree? Reat job I'm
drooling looking at all those amazing delicious ghosts.
+David Goddard Thanks for watching! Actually I did make a "how to make" video on my new garden channel! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3TmEFZIq3sAnd also my impressive pepper plant from this year:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXO2HVL-Qh4
i'm a medical marijuana patient in NV (just learned today it will be on the 2016 ballot for recreational use) .. In any case I've been trying my hand at growing those plants indoors using LEDs (did WAY better than I expected the first time around), but I want to start a hydro/aquaponic setup outside and take advantage of the amazing sun we have out here. I was thinking of doing a Tilapia reservoir feeding into a hydro setup and grow peppers much like these.Would the NV Sun be too much for them to handle do you think?
+Ofir Blum There are 3 solo cups worth of soil that extend into the tank, acting as wicks. Oxygen is allowed in because the rest of the tank is an inch below the main level of the soil; allowing for oxygen exchange for the entire bottom of the soil (except the 3 solo cups)
Sorry but i'm not sure I 100 understand. I checked for MPHGardener on
Youtube but I found a lot of different videos and maybe not what i'm
looking for. Can you please make some kind of tutorial ? That would be
really nice! Last year I got about 5 ghost peppers with 2 plants and I was
really dissapointed :(
Thanks!
+xblackdemonx What zone are you in? I would almost guarantee you can get similar results with this method as long as it is warm enough and you have enough sunlight... I will be posting more detailed information about the setup on my other channel: Animal Farm
hmm i thought mhp was saying that kratky might only work for short term
plants like the lettuce, but it appears you are growing good!
What was your bucket setup? net pot then just a bunch of the solution
sitting in the buc ket? how often did you refresh? etc
+Jonathan Hiatt Hi,This is a bit different than Kratky method, I think it is these differences that allow the larger/ and longer life plants to thrive as opposed to Kratky. In this method there is a large area of growing medium (potting soil) that the roots establish themselves in prior to reaching the nutrient reservoir. These roots allow the plant to be anchored and allow for a larger portion of roots that will be outside of the solution (allowing for more oxygen exchange than Kratky method. I will be posting more detailed tutorials on my other channel: Animal Farm

I'm glad she mentioned Gunpoint as an inspiration (I think?). I was gonna
