+Amalia Moreno Actually more people are becoming natural and less people are getting perms now. It may have been popular back in the day but certainly not now. Why do you think places like Target and Walmart have sections specifically dedicated to naturals and curly textures? They didn't have that before but now since there are so many people becoming natural there is a whole new market out there just for us. And Even if people were perming there hair today, Why would it make sense for her to perm her hair and look like everyone else? You grow an image by being unique and Looking unique, Not by doing and looking like everyone else. 

Its just my personal opinion and suggestion. She chooses to do whatever she wants with herself. If she chooses to go natural, hey more power to her! Who doesnt perm their hair now a days?
