My dad once told me don't weight train you will get injuries...we laughed
at him..all the books say go weight train..do it heavy..now I realise what
my dad was telling me as a teenager was spot on...if you do weight
train..read up and research first..technique balance etc etc..if you can go
train with someone qualified...otherwise just stick to circuit training...
+Imran Ali depends where I place my arms, for back muscles I go very wide and low, also this one smashes your lower back and core, place your hands forward in front of your head.
+Mr llorT i hear you..I prefer bodyweight training.. push ups..plyometric push ups..squats..plyometric squats..how would you train your back and shoulders to balance the work your chest gets? That was my only question..
+Imran Ali look bro, I did gym abit and yes my muscles buffed up but it wouldn't last if I wasn't consistent and I didn't get the strength that I would get from all the different pushups I do and some vertical pushups and some chin ups, but mostly pushups.I'm not that big though but no one can beat me in arm wrestling hahaha. Also did a lot of physical work on construction sites, it required lifting at times but it mostly required constant use of the whole body all day.
I agree. He came off as arrogant and cocky. I thought Napoleon when he went to get the stick to demonstrate technique. Was it the camera's angle or is he of short stature?
Hey man I got a question I really need your help I fucked up one of my neck
muscles are bigger thin the other side how would I fix that please I need a
answer bfor I go and fuck it more up
+Krista Baughman sounds like you need to isolate the smaller muscle and find ways to work that one on it's own without activating the neural network connected to the other, bigger muscle. Often times when people try and isolate a weak muscle in comparison to a stronger muscle, the stronger muscle will want to activate and contract, because it knows you favor that muscle over the other one. The goal with muscle balance isn't so much to actually balance the muscles themselves, but the holistic approach to correct the fault nervous system we trained ourselves into. So at first it may be almost impossible to isolate that muscle/muscle group that is smaller, because your nervous system 'forgot' how to operate that muscle as a singular unit.
it's really ironic you could say. How i stumbled across Elliott's channel.
It was the autumn of 2014 and i had done some research on how to deal with
major depression. There's the " Go see a doctor, he'll fix you up"
approach. But i didn't want prescriptions; i wanted something natural to
re-balance my neurotransmitters. So i found out that "magic" mushrooms are
a natural way to kick start your brain's natural cerebral activity. So it
was one afternoon, i took $30 worth of magic mushrooms. After about an hour
of taking them i began to notice the effects. Everything was funny. It
wasn't so much a voice in my head saying that everything was laughable; it
was more so a physical reaction; an unconscious laughter stemmed from my
very being. Walked around the neighborhood, went to the beach, it was a
brisk cold wind that afternoon, but it was still very enjoyable. I came
back to my house and it was already dark outside, i went to my couch, laid
on the couch, turned on the television and for some reason i went to an
audio channel with only "classical" music. All opera music with
instrumentals... i nodded off, still consciously awake, but not really
caring about anything going on around me, besides the heavenly chimes
ringing in my ears. As i was listening to this music i was in deep
contemplation about how to get out of my depression for good. (I would go a
couple of days of being fine, but then the depression would return every
time no matter what, no matter how motivational the speeches were that i
listened to; i just couldn't get out of my rut.) But then it struck me... i
don't entirely remember the phrase that i entered on youtube's search bar,
but it lead me to an Elliott Hulse video. Long story short, i went from not
even knowing what structural integrity was to actively searching for the
strongest version of myself each and every day. Thank you Elliott, you
aren't an inspiration, but rather, you ignite the inspiration that each one
of us already has inside of us. Thank You. DONE!
any tips for first starting weight loss?should i just be doing cardio or
should i be lifting and doing other forms of exercise? whats the best for
quick waste loss?
+Sean ThompsonTV thanks im not looking for extreme weightloss im not overweight in the slightest i just have some unwanted stomach fat thats been bothering me :p
Weight loss will just simply require a caloric deficit, start tracking your calories into a deficit (below maintenance) and work in cardio of your choice as often as possible, 2/3 times a week is a good start :)
Hey Sean! Do you know of any macro/calorie apps for a windows phone? I cant
get Fitness pal on my phone. Hell, if you know of a computer software
program or anything like that for meal prep/macro/calories that'd be great
too! KEEP IT UP!
As much as I agree, I would say the second biggest problem for skinny guys
is overtraining! So I wouldn't make every lift a compound lift or if you
do, then drop the amount of sets you do per workout. Just a point, I still
agree with what he said :)
