This is a quick demo on how to tie a loop on your bow string. It works well for hunting applications. I hope it is informative. See artwork and more videos at ...
@EthanDarke i believe you could but id leave question 1 to a pro ha , but
no i dont think it will damage your bow sting if you dont use one , unless
you are usin a relase i would recommend you using the loop, if your not
then no i dont think so , i have two bows and ive never used a loop ive
always just used my hands ha and nothings really happend to my strings.
thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 you saved me about 64 bucks
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 i got mad at my bow because i couldnt
figure out how to tie it 3 the reason you save me some money cause the
release aid i had was cuttin the string so thanks!!!!!!!
1. i would imagine that any cord that has the tensil strength could be used
however some work better than others 2. no it isn't necessary but it does
help the longevity of the string serving which is what protects your actual
bow string from damage
I have bin using a aluminum trunoc but it is heavy and makes noise i want
to try this for the lighter weight but im nervous. Do they ever break or
come untied and do they stay in one spot on the string or do i always have
to check my nocpoint?
Thanks for the info. I have a question. Took my brand new bow to the shop
had a D-LOOP and a peep put on but I shot it 3 times and the string turned
. Now my D loop is turn to the inside of the bow and my peep sight not
open. :(
Two questions for anyone who knows: 1. can I use 550 cord for this? I'm
military and that stuff is lying around EVERYWHERE. 2. Is using one of
these necessary? or will I damage my bowstring if I dont set up a loop?
why or why would this video deserve for some people a dislike??? is there
some kind of freak in youtube disliking every video posted??? get a life
freak!! if you dont like videos, dont see!
That's handy, but will someone from Scheels drive 200 miles and hike in
seven miles to your hunting camp the night before opening day to help you
replace a loop if you suddenly need it?
Noob question, but How do I find the correct place to put it? I'v only been
doing archery for a month so I'm still not sure how to properly have my
arrow in the correct place.Any Help?
Thanks, you make it look easy and u used a tripod so the video is not
jumping all over the place and some good tips on why certain things should
be done.
Awesome stuff from never owning a Bow and smashing out my 1st D Loop thank
to your video Zach. Many Thanks squire

Lead is lead! Am I uneducated? (Which if you read the rest of Lee's replies
it turns out that I am!!)..
Lead no matter how small is harmful to wildlife!! Surely the smaller it is,
the easier it is to swallow?
Can you please explain what difference the size of the shot makes?... It is
still lead.
+Lee Kerry Angling For the record I think you are/ I know you are a top quality angler and I never meant to sound unfair, since I tar myself with the same brush, but that came as a shock to me.. I was oblivious.Like I've said only recently, I believe your blogs are a breath of fresh air to any angler willing to think what's going on below the surface and I'll never argue against that... I am uneducated when it comes to shot, I thought I knew better and I won't/don't/do not hold you responsible, but that was my first knowledge of that fact(about the <8 shot) and you were the first to bring it up in flowing conversation, and it took me by surprise.. I never knew that!! So for what it's worth... I apologize and at the same time Thankyou.I'm going to go buy a metal detector now so I can start to clean up the banks.:D
+Pellet n Corn I too am a nature loving angler. You say no worries, but your original comment paints me in a bad light. Without knowing me, or the facts, that seems a little unfair. I love fishing, but would not do anything that jeopardises the environment to gain in fishing. I am happy to use these tiny lead shot, knowing that 1) I don't leave any on the bank, 2) Those few remaining careless anglers cannot leave potentially large amounts of lead on the bank, as they must use non toxic large shot. 3) It is not against the law in any way and all anglers use them.I hope you continue to enjoy my information and blog.
+Pellet n Corn When I was knee high to a grass hopper... Lead shot was all there was. Then as a young teenager we were introduced to styls, which we knew were lead,(We didn't know any better) but they were stream lined and suited certain rigs.. blades'n'gonks etc. But in the 21st century? Surely we could find some kind of zinc, nickel, tungsten alloy that works just as well that doesn't poison wildfowl?
+Lee Kerry Angling No worries Lee, but as a nature loving angler it still doesn't feel right. As soon as stotz became available I went out and bought them like any of us would have, to make a neat bulk, or to eliminate shot popping off the line around the landing net. But in the 21st century, seriously... Are we really still using lead?... That makes me sad.Yes it answers my query, but that doesn't make it right..:(
+Pellet n Corn Hi Pellet and Corn. All shot and stotz produced by all manufacturers, smaller than a size 8, so 8 to 13. Is made from lead. It was determined years ago that this is acceptable and safe for the environment. If you use shot of this size, you use lead too! Therefore, I am simpy saying that all shot bigger than a size 8 used in the UK must be non toxic by law. and all those smaller are lead. In Europe, they use lead for all sizes.I hope this answers your query.
