Thanks for this vid. It's always nice to hear people's impression about a film, especially what they felt when they saw it. I watched Kar Wai Wong's Chungking Express once (mandarin, english subs) because someone recommended it quite passionately. The first 3/4 of the film I didn't understand much of the movie. Multiple story lines of different characters. But after that, it all fell into place. The story was whole and made sense, emotionally. I'm glad I followed the recommendation. Good movie.

I have Tricho too, and I've been bugging my mom to go to the TLC meeting in Arizona this November. I haven't pulled the hair out of my scalp in a long time, but I've started again and I've also started pulling out my eyelashes and leg hair. :c I really want to stop, but I don't know where to begin... Do you have any tips? I'm also scared to go to school because I'm worried about what the other kids will think. Anywho, I hope that I can meet you sometime soon since I don't really know you. :)

I've never been to Sundance (hey I'm in miserable England!). American film.... ooh that's hard. I'm not a fan of cheap movies... I'm more of the arty-heart kind. So things like "Along came Polly" are just something I'm not interested in. Black Swan on the other hand - hello there! Well... looking at my shelf, the first film that stands out is "The Island" - early 2000's! I'm a fan of Logan's Run and it was going to be a remake in the planning. I love it :).

I havent been to the BFI (since I come from The Netherlands and was not near the UK at the time of the festival) but I have seen The Lunchbox and you were right, it is a lovely movie that leaves you at the end feeling a bit shocked that it does not continue to a meeting but also makes you very very hungry, in fact, even talking about it makes me hungry... *grabbing a bite to eat* Keep up your wonderful videos please :).

Yes, I would have loved to have seen more. Happy conclusive endings are not always the best though - that's not always a good portrayal of real life. I just wish the two characters just met each other at the end. The Director could have cut to black and left the audience wondering: hey, will they... won't they. By ending it where they did - they may not even have any sort of contact again - so... hmmm :(.

I think I no longer watch movies in the same way I once did. Sure I can still enjoy them - but I do find myself being distracted by the most simplest of things. Reflectors seen in reflections, audio differences, lighting errors/issues/shots/angles - oh my. It makes me wonder how these films ever get made! My tastes have stayed the same however :). I'm still more arty than cheep and cheerful :).

I am a member of the BFI and went to see vi ar bast! (We are the best!) about 3 young misfit girls in Sweden trying to start a punk band. It was so adorable and uplifting, and the young actors were really amazing. It reminded me of my childhood and regrettable "badass" attempts at cutting my own hair ;)

But honestly I was just curious from her last vlogg with her and Estée sitting around an ashtray with a cig pack and when she went to the store she bought a lighter. It's not a big deal because that's her life..if she wants to smoke and be unhealthy that's her problem. But since she puts herself in the public eye, I'm allowed to ask her a question
