Medical school rotation (SICU), flossing, calcium
hey guys! this is a video about a bunch of random topics: 3rd year medical school, 4th year medical school, the surgical intensive care unit, flossing, calcium, ...
ps: I think the viability of leafy greens as a source of calcium is
questionable at best. everyone should eat them, BUT. they have
anti-nutrients which significantly reduce absorption of their calcium. so
eat your greens and swallow your calcium supplements. DOI:
10.1111/j.1365-2621.1997.tb04421.x pps: take it from me, lets have a day
where you can rest and let your mind wander. mindful rest. meditation.
whatev. med students need a day to step off the treadmill and look around
sometimes
two discrete parts to this video summary of the second half, 6:45 on:
prevention is the best cure. floss well every day and get a professional to
show you how to do it rigorously (scrape the teeth clean). take calcium
citrate + magnesium citrate + vitamin d3 2000 iu every day (citrate is more
fool-proof because it absorbs better under more circumstances). and
exercise, because ANYTHING is better than nothing. all this will improve
the DURATION and QUALITY of your life
Thanks a lot for these videos. I'm currently a premed undergrad student and
I always watch your videos about your experiences since your first year med
student. Keep up the good work man! Can't wait to see more
I enjoy watching your videos.. keep posting more! I am currently MS2 and
taking my boards in a few months, any advice for starting that first
clinical rotation?
