What i dont get is when people have spinal or neck injuries they usually become paralized. So if this guy is litterally gonna sever the spinal cord, does that mean the man is gonna have a new body but remain paralized? these are the questions that keep me up at night

I know for sure that the person would either be paralyzed, dead or becomes vegetable someone who is literally brain dead this doctor and patient is delusional it'll never happen evenIf our technology becomes more advance there is a thing called logic

+RuggedALAN I would assume they will use stem cell technology . Maybe because they can apply this technique instantly to the wound it might regrow correctly as the body initially tries to repair itself . And maybe its a harder thing to do once a body has already healed a wound and your dealing with an injury later on .. But just I guess :)

Interesting question. I don't know if even the doctors know yet considering it's the first surgery of its kind in the modern era (I'm sure it's been tried before). Whatever happens, the man volunteering will help us understand these questions much more and for that he's a hero in the medical science world.
