thank you so much and thanks for the advice on the diet coke i dont normly
like those drinks but since this began its the only sweet thing i was aware
i cud have il ring my dietican tomorow and ask her abuout the jello and
stuff u see living in the uk is a nightmare i find not many ppl here have
had it so if u know anone in the uk or ur watching and in the uk msg me !!
its like we dnt have alot of stuff that im aware of :( but thanx so much in
taking the time to comment and watch xx
You are ADORABLE! I know the liquid diet is horrible, but it should get
easier with each day. You know that you can have sugar free jello, pudding,
and popsicles, right? Definitely supplement that. Also, I would not be
drinking the diet coke - makes you retain water! You're going to be
brilliant, though, and I promise, eventually you'll be able to have normal
food again. I can eat a small piece of pizza and be totally satisfied
now....your whole life will change. Best wishes to you!
PS - I'm not sure if you're dealing with any vocal issues right now, but my
voice got SO much stronger post-surgery. No more acid reflux, no more
difficulty breathing, better support, better sound all -around. :)
Gastric Sleeve: Pre-Surgery Diet, Day Eight (Telling people about the surgery)
Now on Phase II of my pre-surgery diet, which is a protein-sparing plan, and talking about telling people.
I watched all your videos when my husband was getting the sleeve. You are
so helpful and entraining the way you deliver your knowledge and personal
experiences. Now I will be getting the sleeve too and re-watching them. We
decided to do this because we are both 30 and we just had a baby. Want to
be healthy for her and establish good eating habits. Glad people like you
exist in the world.
Im a West Aussie and would like to congratulate you on a wonderful journey.
Could you please tell me how long its been since your surgery and if you
have managed to keep it off. Many thanks from down under...
Hi Oceans, I'm eight months out and down about 150 lbs. from my peak.
Maintenance has been fine so far. Thanks for writing. Best of luck in your
journey.
Day 4 = My second wind! I am feeling good, and sticking with the plan :) There have been lots of questions from family who recently found out about my ...
I tell everyone and anyone im having the surgery! lol! Ive had tons n tons
of ?'s as well..plus i have had those few people (including a few drs ive
seen) to try n talk me out of it..i know what im going into..i know this is
what i want! My husband keeps thinkin the what ifs but thats how he is
after the past few yrs he has had. But he is TOTALY supportive! I totaly
agree with things uve said in this video..doors closing! Congrats on how
well ur doin on ur preop diet! U GO GIRL!
I'm so not looking forward to all the questions or people trying to talk me
out of the surgery. Oh... I know one of my bestest friends WHO HAS HAD the
lap band was trying to talk me out of it. Really upset me. But anyways...
I'm so happy for you and can't wait to see you after surgery. OH! I can't
wait for a surgery date. I'm one of those kinds of people who will bust
down the door if given the chance LOL..:-)
That's exactly what I went through when I was pre op. I realized ALOT about
myself. I began having hopes, dreams, and goals. Realizing that being fat,
wasn't how it was going to end. It's a GREAT feeling!! You're going to do
great!! Keep up the great work!! Just keep in mind, the preop diet benefits
YOU. Makes it easier for the surgeon!! And I think it's a good test. Ya
know?? :) You go girl!! :)
My insurance will not cover any type of weight loss surgery. I have to pay
out of pocket. In mexico Gastric Bypass RNY costs 1/3 the cost as it does
in the US. And the surgeon I chose is actually WAY more experienced and has
better percentages than the doctors here in the state that I live in. I
have done my research, and feel that Dr. Joya in Puerto Vallarta is the
best choice I can make.
Can I ask why mexico what do they do different ? Because of youtube it gave
me courage cause I did start the process 2 yrs ago but I chickened out but
then I had a aaaahhaaa moment and said it's time for myself and health .
march 30 I see the shrink then it all get sent into my insurance and hope I
get approved . But thank you for all your updates everyone on youtube gives
me hope ! ! !
Yeah... so far... I may be a weirdo, but this has been a great experience!
Knowing that my day for surgery is coming, and that my missery with being
fat is going to end soon... has given me this new ZEST for life!! LOL I am
not even tempted by food at this point. Thanks, as always, for your words
and encouragement!
u dont know this but u r officially one of my new best friends. i always
enjoy watching ur vids, i really appreciate how honest u are, keep up the
good work.
Things can only get better. And we don't think about failing. I had surgery
and they didn't complete mine. I quit but my cousin pushed me to get back
up. Now I am having surgery with a new surgeon on January 10th. So there is
hope enough out there for all of us. Including you. You have taken a big
step to put yourself out here. Pat your self on the back for that. Good
luch on your journey. --Angie
@KeepersMom24 Thanks :) and thanks for watching my whiney video! lol... Wow
that must have been rough to have an incomplete operation! But way to go
for not giving up! Good luck, January 10th is closer than we realize!
@XenoChrysalis I do try to stay positive, but I do have those days where
I'm just feeling BLAH! Like I was in that video... but thank you for
watching and thanks so much for the support. It means alot :)
