Dgiblergh (Day 1190 - 2/26/13)
Dgiblergh: the sound an automobile makes when you're about to spend money to fix it. A discussion of my love for my vehicle. I truly do love the Escape.
Hi Stephen! I love your LP's and vlogs! I'm new to your videos (I found you
by Chuggaconroy) But I have a Ford Tauraus and I know the frustration it is
with a Ford. Mine is 10 years old and mine is constantly needing repair
every 6 months or so. And I defiantly know that weird feeling when riding
in a big vehicle then switching to a smaller car, my sister has a Ford
Escape. Continue on with your awesome work! You have a new subscriber :D
Dgiblergh is the sound my '03 F-150 made when the engine messed beyond
repair. It was a really reliable truck as well. It survived ALL THE WAY TO
FREAKIN 2012 AND MULTIPLE CROSS COUNTRY MOVES. Rest in peace, F-150. You
were surprisingly reliable. Me and my family tried so hard to save it as
well! Oh well, I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee now, and it's...okay. It
doesn't have the same feel as the F-150.
I drove a truck for over two years, and have started driving a car about a
month and a half ago. The last time I drove a vehicle smaller than my truck
was in December 2009, so it definitely felt much different and I did feel a
bit unsafe next to bigger vehicles at first. I've gotten used to it now
though. Still, I know I'm going to be in for something when I go through a
drive-thru.
I drive a Gallant currently, and I do understand the feeling of "your butt
scraping the ground". However, if I were to ever change to a different
vehicle that is NOT a car, I would freak out because I'm so used to my car!
I tried driving my mom's van and my dad's pickup truck and I was freaking
out. I'm so used to my car that if I get a new vehicle, it may end up being
a car.
Very nice to hear great things about the Escape. Once I get finished
college later this year, I will be going for a new vehicle myself and I was
thinking about a Ford Escape because it is an SUV and good on gas as long
as you get the 4 cylinder model instead of the 6 cylinder. I'm currently
driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am and that thing is wide as hell.
I feel the opposite. I drive a car and when I borrow my mom's van or my
dad's truck I feel like I am literally outside the lanes of the rode. The
big vehicles also feel like they waddle about. Honestly though, both my
parents are quite tall like yourself so I understand why you would prefer
something a bit bigger.
Hey Stephen, about your teeth problem. I have pain all the time on my teeth
and it's never cavities, whenever that occurs to me than I just brush my
teeth more often like move from two times a day to three, and it stops!
Usually its just that. I don't much about cars but good luck nonetheless~
ok, stephen...quit it, I commented a week or 2 about telepathic things I
had with your videos. and now...AGAIN! today, I was kinda wondering what
car you drive. and now.....you have a vlog about your car.... I don't call
this coincidence stephen..... are you reading my mind!?
I drive a 93 Ford Ranger that just hit 235,000 miles. The truck has its own
share of problems as I have owned it but it does what I ask it to do. Plus,
I have rode in trucks/SUVs my whole life and it really does feel like I am
scraping the ground when I ride in a car. lol
I drive a pontiac grand am and i love that car. Anyways, I have driven my
dad's chevy silverado and man does it feel weird. It feels like I'm really
high up and massive on the road. Every time I pass a vehicle, it seems like
I'm going to hit it. I love my car.
My dads car was a 1998 vw passat that had almost 200 thousand miles on it
until we got into an accident and lost the car the thing is that we had no
injuries proving that vw are pretty much tanks
Dgiblergh sounds like what happened with my poor poor old little Saturn in
October 2011. Alternator went and my dad and I got stuck under an over pass
on a dark country road at 9 at night.
stephen i know it wouldnt be the answer but have you thought of getting
another car i've seen you spend alot of money in your current one but im
just saying :D after all is your decition
I learned to drive/drove my mom's Montana up until I was 18, when I bought
my first car ( 2002 Cavalier ) and it felt so weird because I was use to
driving this huge tank of a mini-van.
Whenever I get into a car, since my family usually had minivans, I feel the
same way like you. I also had a harder time to get out due to I have to
climb out instead of stepping out.
I'd love to see you drive my little grand am I think u maybe too tall for
my car xD considering I'm tall in my car it's like a Foot and a half if
that off the ground
Ah no, I definitely don't have that. Usually my tooth pains are caused my
irregular brushing patterns (sometimes like a week without) but thanks for
the info!
I've made the switch from a mini van to a car, and you get used to the
height change. I feel you can see better in the car.
