Which size you used for the inverted cone ?

+hema moh, mostly size1/2 , however, you can replace it by flat cutting ended fissure bur when your hand get good control (light speedy movement without concentration on one point to get smooth flat pulpal floor, and slight tilting under the cusps to get 6-degree wall convergence occlusally.

I had to get a lingual cavity filled today the dentists had to put four shots of numbing medicine for me not to feel anything in the tooth and I have to go back next week to get another one filled

I am wondering how long this actually took? The dentists I work for just want it done right and fast. The restoration's are beautiful though.

+Kel Bell - thank you for the kind comments. it certainly takes time to do these types of restorations to create ideal tooth shape and form, and I don't have any real shortcuts. I typically plan about an hour for an individual restoration (including anesth time, isolation, etc). When we are doing quadrant dentistry, we can be more efficient. A case like the one presented would probably take a couple of hours (if I am not documenting for teaching).
