Also, she wouldn't have died for sure in the hospital, they said she left out of fear that she would die. They never mentioned anything about the baby dying. Worst case: she would've died and the baby would've lived.

And also they even said that If she would have stayed in hospital both her and the baby would've died anyway because technology wasn't advanced enough to show her pregnancy was ectopic. So she saved her own life. The baby would've died regardless.

You have to realise that she's from a very poor country and she's most likely uneducated. Myths there are as good as fact to the locals and she didn't realise that the baby was dying. Fear can make people do crazy things and she probably thought that she could deliver her son on her own in the house as many women from these countries do. She was frightened - not selfish.
