I am 37 weeks 3days and I am so over being pregnant too!! I hope my doc
will scrape my membranes this week :) I always thought that procedure would
be painful, so I am glad to hear it is not. Well I wish you the best of
luck with everything, I hope you start to progressing soon. I see a Tim
Hortons cup :) I am from Alberta I am also a Timmy's drinker...cheers!!
Where's your Roll Up The Rim cup?
Hahhea...Roll up the Rim cups are over here in PEI. And all I got were a
few free coffees :( (I substitute them for tea of course...being pregnant

cute belly..... and nice tim hortons cup in the back lol
6 Months Of Breastfeeding!
Today's video is special because Olivia and I have officially accomplished a 6 month breastfeeding journey! Our journey was hard but our stories message ...
Congrats for making it to six months! My son is six months as well and the
exact same thing is happening to us in regards to solid foods. He likes to
eat the food, but his bottom has been red and he has been pooping more
frequently. I don't have any great advice, just to say that you're not
alone! I have been trying to get him to drink water to help him poop and
I've been letting him air out alot and I have a great natural diaper cream
that helps. I also found carrots did not irritate him much.
Congratulations, 6 months! Teething changes the poop's acidity level. At
least that's what I've been told. When Sandy started solids she needed to
drink lots of water or she would have been extremely constipated. With Amy
I didn't wait to give her water but she went through a period from 6 months
to 10 months old where she pooped every one or two days and she would cry
every time even though it was thicker but not solid. I guess it takes a
while for the little tummies to adjust.
first I must say you are sooo rude and her doc says shes growing perfect
and is advanced for her age in physical development.
strength, nutrition, brain development is far more impressive than having a
fat baby rolly baby though rolls are cute. Olivia takes after her dad hes
tall and skinny too with very long arms and legs. the doc says she has a
really fast metabolism in combo of being very active. Also shes not really
small shes really TALL for a female baby actually so THERE
Danielle, congrats to your breastfeeding journey. I too breastfed
exclusively till 6 months and 3 weeks, and just started to introduce pureed
veggies. I would like to continue breastfeeding till up to 2 years. Twice I
had mastitis, and several times nodules but never gave up. I took no
medicine, but just cabbage leaves, hot showers and that's pretty much it.
All the pain is worth. Now I'm doing great!
If she is eating anything that is acidic that can cause a red but or food
sensitivities as well. Baking soda baths help as well as corn starch at
each diaper change. Just sprinkle some on. I would do one food for a week
or so and see how she handles it and maybe you can see what is causing it.
My son was unable to do any fruit but pears for a long time. Now he is fine
with anything. Good luck : )
What's your diet like? Around 6 months baby usually double their birth
weight... your daughter seems small for her age. Does she have her well
baby visits like she's suppose to? Maybe your milk isn't giving her all the
nutrients she needs. Keep with the solids for sure. Everyone I know has
pretty healthy chunky babies even my smaller friends have pretty chunky
babies so.
We are in the same boat. I started then stopped the solids because his poor
tummy was a wreck, and what a pooping nightmare. We are not teething but he
has been fussy and nursing like crazy. I think he may just be bringing in
more milk. He loves the hubby but I am sorta the milk supply at this point.
Maybe I am becoming boring... Dad is fun time, a new face.
Our doctor recommended apple or white grape juice just 2-3 oz a day to help
the solids go through a little easier. If you are into crystal healing like
I am, calcite (especially yellow calcite) placed under her crib mattress
helps with bowel movements as well. Used it for my baby who was very prone
to problems with that and it worked like a charm!
My son tended to get diaper rash a little easier and poop a lot more
frequently while he was teething and it didn't matter what he was eating. I
think it has something to do with the extra saliva they produce. If you
still want to try solid food I'd just stay away from fruits or anything
acidic. Good luck on the next 6 months!
Wow congratulations, my aunt is the only one I know who has accomplished 6
months (and that's now, her boy is the same age as Olivia). I really want
to achieve the same. And bless her with her solid poop :( It's weird
because the redness and soreness is what you'd expect when a babys
constipated?
We ebf for the first 6 months as well and my son had the same thing. At
first he would poop a ton and then he would go a few days without going. He
just had to get used to it. In the end he ended up having dysphagia and
going to feeding therapy. He was mostly bf for the first 10 months
I did notice when we started my daughter on solid food that she got pretty
rashy.its normal.our doctor recommended prune juice when she started eating
solids just to keep everything softer.you could try mixing an ounce or so
in with oatmeal or rice cereal.works like a charm
Any chance she has food allergies? When my toddler and baby eat a food they
are allergic to they poop a LOT! You can have her pediatrician check her
poop for trace amounts of blood...not a big deal and pretty easy to treat
by avoiding the allergens.
She sounds exactly like my little man, he wants to eat every hour and a
half when he with me but if my husband watches him with out me he can go
four hours at a time and not need to eat
Yay for 6 months! I also was so proud of me and my babygirl that we even
made it that far. But you did the full thing without the problems I had to
face. So that's even better!
Danielle it can be the she is teething when my son first tooth came in he
had a rash in his but and wanted to b on my boob all day u should try to
give her things to bite:)
have you tried rice cereal for her mixing the breastmilk with that, it may
just be the difference in the acidity of the food she may just have a
senstive toosh.
I've been doin it for 7 months so far :) got five more to go :p
6 months pregnant-starring fiance' nathan
so my hubby is joining me for this update!!! im six months omg, and will talk this week about the last appointment and my cravings, nathan will talk from his point ...
40 Week Pregnancy Update
Labor signs, due date is today!, emotions, midwife appt, Was that my mucous plug or water breaking? Update: Neither apparently :( **MORE INFO BELOW** ...
Hey mama!!!! I know you have a small space. If you haven't you should look
at getting the mamaroo it's so so so amazing. I'm sure you know about it.
If not look it up. It's amazing for small spaces and you can actully
control the settings and movements fr your phone it comes with a free app.
You also can hook your I pod or phone to it and play your own music. I went
to my friends house and my baby was screaming and I put her in the mamaroo
and in 2 min she was falling to sleep. It's a bit pricey. 329 + hst and you
can get a newborn insert for 30-40 dollars. I ordered mine online today and
will get it tomorrow or wed. And you can keep it for your future babies or
never loose cause it sells on kijiji for at least 250. Hope your doing good
and maybe in labor
My other friends baby has bad colic and it's been her life saver. My luck my baby will end up not liking it lol. And it was a fluke at my friends house. Prob not though. She turned 11 weeks Sunday but her corrected age is only 3 weeks. She's still so much like a little newborn. Hey did i tell you I did a review on an baby/ toddler scale. I bought at babies r us. 50$. It's amazing hon and it's as accurate as my baby's doctors scale dead on. When they grow you take the top off and it turns into a standing scale. It's so neat. Moms always wonder what baby weighs and first thing I do with my babies at the doctors. Now I can weigh her at home :)
If she hates it hon you can return it no problem. I bet she loves it!!! :)))) but good idea to try it out first. In the nicu they had about 6 of them. And babies born to drugs it even soothed them. Wish I would of got it b4 my swing :( but my friends having a baby so I'm giving it to her. It's amazing swing but so big. And the mamaroo put her to sleep in 2 min lol at my friends house :))
+Nikki Nicole Yes this has been on my wishlist.. some babies hate it.. so im gonna wait until she gets here and try out my friends before making the purchase!
For me my mucous plug started to come out like actual mucous . Couple days
later I was trickling water and I thought it was my water breaking and I
should of went with my instincts because if I would of went to the house
when I thought my water was coming down I would of had her sooner . My
water completely broke on the toilet lol . But Because I waited she already
went to the bathroom so when she was born they had to clean her up
immediately and my fiancé couldn't cut the cord . But she was a very
healthy baby girl ! Always go with you instinct and it's ok to go to the
hospital to get checked .
Omg !!!!! How exciting .. I'm almost done with my first trimester and
watching your videos has help me .. Can't wait to see her . Question thou
in your first trimester do you still get a little cramping ..
+lizbethmari3 Yup I did! It is the uterus growing, unless its accompanied by clots of blood, then i'd talk to your care provider. Otherwise yes a little cramping is normal and women can experience braxton hicks contractions as early as 2nd trimester, so it can be those too! Best of luck and Thank you for joining my journey :)
Can't believe you're 40 weeks already, been following you since the
beginning and I'm 2 weeks behind you so its so surreal to me how quickly
these weeks flew by! I hope you have an easy labour and the baby will come
whenever she's ready!! I'm not far behind so we're pretty much in the same
boat! xx
Since she's not replying to comments it makes me think she is probably at
the birth center.... AHHHH. make sure to vlog please! I'm reconsidering a
traditional hospital birth.
+dakota valentine lol im not in labour yet! BUT a video saying i'm in labor will be posted when I am in labor :) I just went out for dinner - hehe. I will be recording some of the labor and delivery for sure!
I'd let your HC providers know about the liquid, just to be safe..if it is
your water you don't want to risk getting an infection. It certainly sounds
like things are starting to happen though, how exciting! Just think
positive girl! Try to forget about those births with complications and just
focus on what's happening in your body. When my water broke i felt a huge
pop and when i stood up a gush came out, after that it kept leaking for
about 10-15 mins..but ive heard they can just be a slow leak or something
so i'd definitely ask about it just to be safe
