How to make your own Jelly Rolls

Jelly Rolls are a great way to use up all your leftover fabric. Cut your strips after each project and before you know it you will have enough for a quilt.

A dark to light quilt then applique a theme on it. I will sew straight quilting lines from one upper corner, like rays of the sun and then apply butterflies by applique. Another quilt I will make fan blocks to surround an oriental fish block I was given. I have so much material, given as gifts, and was running out of ideas. Plus jelly rolls cost so much. Thanks again for the idea!
