Vegan Restaurants, LA Juice Bars and The Cambodian Visa
There are an increasing number of vegan restaurants and juice bars in LA. LA is a vegan-friendly and a generally health conscious city, especially when ...
+VegAnn There is a street that is the steepest street in LA and I still can't bring myself to ride up it. I get about a quarter the way up and freak out. There is another street that is just as steep but isn't as long. I started to panic going up that too, but since it isn't nearly as long, by the time I started to panic I was more than halfway, so I kept going. It isn't a fitness thing, because I can easily make it up. It's a mental thing. These streets are so steep that I panic. It's mental and it is a self created fear. I won't rest until I ride up it.
+Mark Tassi its my nr 1 fear. I do it when I have to because I am all about getting over your fears. But this one I cannot get over. And I have been in a plane 6 times (without pills or anything). But because of the stress and fear it was very uncomfortable
By the way, 6-year-old me did NOT appreciate this scene. Not only did it
horribly misinform me about an entire nation and ethnicity of people, it
made me nearly vomit.
+Larry RogersI'm very vicious toward people who try to bash American people, I hate racism and the equivalent nationalistic bigotry. There's an alternate version of this video on here called "Indian food" and you can see a lot of Indian people who don't appreciate this video, and I can't blame them. But like any kid, I didn't know the difference between fantasy and reality so I thought this was what Indian people really ate. The monkey brains part was the worst and I never forgot it.
+EGarrett01 All the criticism of this scene is messed up. It's a real experience that foreign peoples eat weird stuff. Sure, it's an exaggerated scene, but what's wrong with that? If you want someone's account, you open a book. If you want reality, you go there. If you want a crazy and fun story with exaggerated elements, you watch a fantasy / adventure movie or pick up a book of mythology or folklore. Fantasy is a genre that properly contains fairy tales as well. Whether you like it or not, other countries are not as kind to the United States as you and similar people encourage us to be about them. We are almost universally charicatured in the most uncharitable manner.
To all you people complaining that this movie is racist, may I remind you
that Raiders of the Lost Ark portrayed Cairo as a backwords city with
people still using swords?
+Sam Vireakboth But seriously, I doubt the ban does any good at all. At least in China, nobody cares about Western films and nobody would ever enforce such a ban. They just do stuff like that to be jerks. They would prefer our cinema look exactly like theirs?
+Sam Vireakboth That may be true, but you have to admit that this scene was very funny especially when the monkey heads are brought out and she faints.
+buddha bar Cows are sacred. But if you think for one second they eat chilled monkey brains and eye ball soup, you have NO experience with Indian cuisine
A quick update on Day Nineteen of a year long experiment with Breatharianism, the idea that man is not meant to eat or drink. To date I have restarted drinking ...
Listen:
Your body is of this earth. And it needs nutrition. Where have you gotten
the idea from that there is any nutrition in the air? IF you do not eat a
single thing, your body will dwindle away, first slowly, then faster and in
the end your body will go into a coma, your organs will shut down and you
will die. This is not to be a party-pooper, this is just a fact of life.
Ofc you feel "okay" right now - you have been cheating alot, and you are
drinking water! ;) It can take months and months to starve to death, if you
are a healthy person - our bodies are very very resilliant! (luckily!)
But note my words. You are starving. Your body will use up every singel
drop of nutrition that is stored in your fatty tissues, your mucles, your
organs. And when there is nothing left, you become ill and die.
So, why are you doing this? I'm just curious :) To me it seems like a very
odd and "not so clever" experiment. If you want better health and to feel
great - do that by taking care of your body, not punishing and pushing your
body to its very limit of what is fysically possible.
Not not drink or eat 24/7 is sucide. To live on raw fruits and plants,
drink pure water and doing yoga and meditation - THAT is optimum health.
Wake up, dude!.... (before you end up killing you self)
+Avalie Moonchild " live on raw fruits and plants, drink pure water and doing yoga and meditation - THAT is optimum health" ... Make your research yo. The idea of living on air ( and/or sunlight) without eating and drinking came from people who have been meditating ( and/or doing yoga) their whole lives, you could 'professional yogis and meditators' or known as saints in the western culture... Do your research before you advise others. And don't tell me it's a fact that you will die without water and food if you have not tried it your self. It is probably to assume you can't do it, but that's your thing. It doesn't mean it will apply to others. Do your research. Or don't . But don't advise others .
+Avalie Moonchild Thanks for your concern but I didn't kill myself, conventional wisdom says 3 weeks without food, but I went 60 days before I stopped for social reasons, but I felt that I could have continued indefinitely These days I tend to eat one piece of fruit every other day and they generally seems to be enough for me, but I will repeat this experiment in the coming months.
"2 bars of chocolate, 3 small pieces of garlic bread, 2 pieces of toast and
one small meal - a salad followed by fruit" you've gotta start again now
mate, back to day 1, experiments ruined.
+LionEntity But it is still the same experiment. It's called breatharianism. At least he's still saying he's following breatharianism. Where you don't eat or DRINK. You consume prana (life energy). Honestly, anyone who doesn't follow this so called Breatharianism lifestyle to the letter of the T shouldn't say they are a breatharian. That's like a religious person not following their doctrines. Are they really religious anymore? At this point what he's doing is just surviving on water and occasionally cheating eating tid bits. That's not breatharianism. No hate to him of course. I'm just tired of ppl claiming breatharianism works and yet you see or hear them eating occasionally.
+Steve27775 He clearly said that he had changed the whole experiment altogether from not eating/drinking to just not eating. He's not continuing the same experiment!
if you want to go without water, you need to clean the colon, saltwater
flushes, enemas colonics are a few things that could really help.
also drinking lemonwater to help everything start moving is great, drink 1
lemon for a quart of water, do about a gallon of lemon water give or take
early in the morning, then do urinetherapy, lemons are like a degreaser,
learning how to eat so you never get all stopped up or stagnate is really
important, "water rich foods myfriend, fatty/most cooked food doesnt get
digested well" nuts to me seem to move like glue when the food comes out.
+lonewolf/*\ People are dying all around the world not from starvation but from a combination of withdrawal and the nocebo effect, but many more billions are slowly and painfully dying from the toxic effects of food.Do you really think the only sources of information are TV and the Internet??I spent the last 8 years reading the works of Dr. Alexis Carrell, Georges Lakhovski, Jean Von Helmont, Dr. John Gardner, Dr. William Hammond and Professor Hilton Hotema; I have performed numerous experiments upon myself, spoken to various breatharians and people who fast regularly; and have had plenty of intuitive insights that have subsequently been corroborated by a reluctant scientific community, and now we have the 2500 people on our facebook groups who have been performing these fasts and therapies and are seeing the same results. What backs up your "beliefs"??Einstein once said "Condemnation without Investigation is the height of ignorance" and you sir are ignorant!
+James Seddon Third world countries are mostly dying from malnutrition than from starvation. Fasting on clean water, fruit juice, and/or your own urine, is not malnutrition and thus won't kill you but would give you more vitality. You will on the other hand die if you were eating garbage, whether you're from the third, second or first world. Dr. Sebi said it well: "Since our bodies are 78% fluid, then our diet should be 78% fluid."
So what you are saying is that you yourself would feel like you a serving a corporate master by documenting your own experiment in such a fashion that it could be proven or disproven? It sounds to me like this experiment is a pure scam and you have zero credibility to share with your "followers". Documenting an experiment is not scientific it's common sense, and if any of your "followers" had the determination to do what you are doing the least you could do is show them it is safe.Over 1/4 of the worlds population is starving or without fresh water, and you alone are trying to challenge that notion without even the slightest modicrum of evidence to back yourself up with and when asked for it you resort to childish retorts that I would expect from a 14 year old.If you have discovered some way for the Human body to survive in the way you are suggesting the least you could is document it with some form of professional guidance, you would be the first person in history to truly solve the third world plight.
+James Seddon First of all I am not suffering "extreme weight loss" It appears to me that my body has reverted back to the state it was when I was at my fittest and most vital. And how dare you sir presume to appear here and tell me how I should conduct my own experiment to satisfy your own anal adherence to the fake precepts of the scientific religion. If my experiment is not rigorous enough for your liking then please fuck off and do your own that more closely panders to the medical and scientific priesthood. And I don't appreciate your implication that I am a liar, I am not doing this for science, I am doing this for me and for other people so that they know that there is much more to them that they have been told, and perhaps cause people to not just blindly accept the bollocks spewing from the mouths of the scientific priesthood and ask their own questions...Come back and talk to me after you've figured out that the scientific community is about suppressing truth and propagating their version of truth that profits their corporate masters
+dmurphy25Actually you guess wrong, hence why I have been a subscriber of yours for over a year. I have often enjoyed many of your topics and viewpoints on the world as something of another perspective than the norm, however I do doubt why I bother given your absolute lack of ability to counter a rather simple argument. The third world is full of people who go for days or even weeks without food, hundreds of which die daily. I would like to see some form of evidence supporting that humans "do not need to eat" that is backed up with a scientific pier review clearly showing that a human being is perfectly capable of living a full natural life of say 85 years with no serious consequences. The probable reason for your trying this methodology is the same reason I question it, you are skeptical of what appears to be the norm; where as I am skeptical of things which are not until proven otherwise. What might gain you some credibility is to consult with at least two qualified doctors on a weekly or bi-daily basis to have blood works taken. At least this way your viewers will know that firstly you are safe and not coming to any harm, and secondly that your experiment is even credible. For all we know you're eating a vegan diet which would account for your extreme weight loss.
Yes, from the child-like perspective of looking at the effects rather than causes, but then I guess you believe everything you watch on television and everything so-called "experts" tell you
