There will be other meet and greets. Taking care of yourself is priority. Dont over do it or you may not heal the way you want. As far as your marraige DON'T give up! Marriage is hard! No one will argue with that, but it is in the hard times that a marriage is built. You are smart, loving and dedicated to a healthy life. I will be praying for you, your husband and son. Go to counseling learn to rebuild your marriage. It is worth it! I promise you will never be sorry for your marriage. Smile!

Melanie - I must say that you were very beautiful at 275 and you are very beautiful at 150. I can relate to exactly what you are going through. My husband is all worried that if I get real skinny I am going to leave him for someone else. I thought you might have that issue when your husband said on one video that he thought you couldn't have kids after lapband and he was excited to find out you can, but then another video you said you were not having any more, so I did wonder how he felt.

Mel, Just want to say that I look forward to seeing all of your posts. I am hoping that you and your husband can compromise and work it out. In listening to your vid about you changing all, I feel that the most important factor is that you got healthier. You dont have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, back/knee problems, youre not bed bound etc. You made it out of an unhealthy body with hard work and will power. Had you not, would you be hear today? Good Job Melanie!

Hi Mel, Listen, I agree with the commentors who say that you look wonderful. Your awesome personality simply comes through. That alone is admirable! Try not to worry about hubby's thinking (I know it's hard not to). Keep praying and definitely keep the faith in that your marriage will remain positive and intact! I agree that hubby is probably feeling a bit insecure -like many men when their woman loses weight and becomes sexier. Continue to work it out and I pray it comes together!

You look great. It is hard for spouses/boyfriends. He is feeling insecure and afraid he is going to lose you. You are changing. He is dealing the insecurity. Marriage is a long road. Not an easy one and it has ups and downs. Find the love you originally found for each other. Go to counseling. Talk about his feelings too. Just remember you are healthier now, better shape, and you married him for a reason. Stay strong. God Bless!

I totally get what you are saying Melanie. This is the time for you. We, women, are always taking care of other people, tending to their needs and wants and not our own. Now is the time for YOU! This is something you feel the need to do for yourself. Your hubby may be feeling that you are not paying enough attention to him. Just keep reassuring him that a happier you will make a happier him! Hey Mel, I just want to let you know that you look great!! It seems like we might not understand what you are trying to say, but trust me Mel we understand. I wish people would understand what it actually feels like to be overweight. Mel I hope everything works out with your husband. You look fab Mel!! Good look with your situation w/ your hubby..I think he may be feeling a little insecure about all the changes taking place with you. I'm sure it will work out. Keep being you, but try to understand his side as well. Assure him that you are the same wife who loved him last year!!! Love Ya! Thanks for your honesty, I know that must be hard to share with us.

The recovery is so easy for the surgery, but with everthing that is going I understand the confusion. I really hope you and your man can make it through this. He has to adjust to this new amazing woman. I know it must be hard for both of you..

aww Mel, sorry to hear that your having marital troubles. keep your head up everything will be ok. please don't be so hard on yourself. you look amazing and you did it all so quickly. so many years o being fat and not feeling pretty takes a toll on you. I currently weigh 259 and have lost 91 pounds and I too dress better cause I feel better and I feel more girly and thats ok Mel we deserve it...other girls that have never had weight issues dress nice and noboty has a problem with them... but If someone who loses weight starts to dress nice we are judged..

Melanie you've worked so hard to lose the weight. You deserve to feel good about your body and to dress fabulously, which you do by the way! I am hope you and your husband can find each other again and that no matter what your little one's distress over the discord is minimal. Take care of yourself!

melanie...your decision to lose weight was a good one and don't allow anyone to make you feel like it wasn't. you deserve to look and feel good about yourself. often people do have a hard time adjusting to things that completely unfamiliar to them. do you and love every moment of it. good luck!!!!

You look great girl! I do not feel that you are tryng to be perfect, it is just that time in your life where you want to for once feel good about yourself, and there is nothing wrong with wanting to feel something that you never felt before, and wanting to have a positive self image of yourself.

You look absolutely amazing...your husband is probably afraid of losing you...girl you have to let him know that he is what you want. So many of my friends who have lost weight husbands have changed. I pray that God works things out for you two.
