+Nora Gyenes Yes, the education is three years long. I went to Malmö University, which is the best dentistry school in Sweden, and we got the chance to go out on practice for a whole year. The books we used and read where in english but the lectures where in swedish so you have to speak at least a little swedish. After you graduate you get a diploma so you can work in Sweden and other EU countries (plus Switzerland and Norway). It's quite easy to get a job as a dental technician in Sweden and the salary is good :). I hope this helped you a little bit!

+Aleksandar Petrovic Also person I work now with, was proposed to make little documentary about "how amazing is to be dentist technicians" for schools, he rejected because he don't want to lie with smile on the face, how "amazing" it is to work from sunrise to.... well, not even sleeping (I saw him a lot of times sleeping for a while between ceramics burning just to rest for a while), and it's not like he's bad, he make really amazing works (literally everything) and he don't have house(s) like dentist that rape peoples from money, and I'm not surprised when we sell something for example - 100$ and dentist sell it to patient for 600$ and more and still moan that it's expensive (where I don't need to explain how many hours it's spend by us and by them).

Well, I'm not bad, finished school with honors as best since few years, I've been invited to lab before I finished 1st year, I've been practicing 2 years and now I'm working year. First there was "manufacture" like work, just do as much as you can, another was just acrylic, now I'm working on metal and acetals and other flexible materials, I would love to do ceramics but in shithole like here noone want to teach because it would be making competition for them. It's really sad how it looks like. Also I'm paid now 1/2 of minimum wage for 4/5 time and what I keep hearing is "it's good anyway, learn now, be happy you have anything", I mean, seriously ? I'm thinking about changing profession, sort of, even going to some kind work where precision is welcome (car factory ? other manufactures ?) I was so happy when I was learning this profession because I didn't know how it looks like, I mean, I know that noone (well there is a lot of peoples  anywyay to be honest) get something for nothing, but ffs, not 12h/5-6 days work week to have "something" that someone is paid for sitting on ass and reading facebook in office.

+ShortyDesign If I may ask you, which country are you from and how "low" is your salary? I work as a dental technician in Sweden and we're not treated as shit and we actually make good money out of it. 

Don't... Don't waste your life. Better learn and become dentist, technicians are treated like shit ad are paid like shit, I know what I'm saying, I'm one of them.
