Thanks to aggressive washing our brains the support of same-sex marriage among the American population has grown over the decade from 32% to 51%, a record in the history of our state. Figure is certainly impressive, but the support of such marriages among the population of Americans still doesn't quite live up to 100%. It is violation of the rights of gay opponents

Can anyone out there offer me one valid argument against gay marriage? Btw, saying "marriage is between a man and a woman" isn't an argument. It may be a conclusion to an argument but it is not an argument on its own. An appeal to tradition, i.e. "it's always been this way", is just fallacious and again does not address why gay marriage is right or wrong. These seem to be the two assertions I encounter again and again. I suspect the paucity of a reasoned position indicates that there isn't one.

Listen mate, I mean you no harm but I will stand my ground. In-fertile heterosexual couples are unfortunate not un-natural. The difference being that heterosexuality is the widely practiced principle of all life on earth. If society can judge someone who breaks a speed limit, than why not gays? Can you see the hypocracy, either you have rules and accepted practices or you dont. I am a civil rights activist, I would fight to ensure a gay person was not harmed, but they are still wrong

@wadiosessions you are the one who cannot see. morality and law are not always linked, the former superceeds the latter in many ways, unless you are a nihilist. No choice? Really, what if I said I feel compelled to shot an endangered animal and just can't help it? There is always choice, but not always self control. Just as we are not all physically perfect some are not mentally perfect, gays should recognise they are wired wrong according to the larger rules of nature

@Martjon715 just because someone is gay doesn't mean they don't serve a purpose for the world. someone could be gay and find a cure for cancer or aids or something. just because they're gay doesn't mean they're wrong, they just have a different preference. Besides, not having children doesn't really have anything to do with it. There are straight couples that never have children or give their children up for adoption. and a lot of gay couples adopt and raise children

@larissa7521 okay well at least i sort of know where your coming from...kind of...maybe...but who am i to judge? i think EVERYONE should be equal. This includes freedom to express their sexuality. After all, if two people love eachother, respect eachother and are of legal age, then why shouldn't they be allowed to express their love in the same way others do? The U.S once again shows its own hypocrisy in not being able to distinguish religion from law.

These are all pragmatic half-truth scapegoats for something that is fundamentally wrong. How do plants fertilise? I think when Miss Prejean said we live where we can choose that she was referring to states' rights. I think it's hypocritical that so many people say that everyone can have their opinion...so long as everyone else concedes to theirs in the form of laws, silence, and even government money. @YaOkRight your religion is based off a book. You can find the bible in the religious section or fiction section of any library. @chaoticXharmony unfortunately the law is a guide to maturity, all individuals are different, I submit that homosexuals brains are not fully developed. Top doctors have told me about conditions which can 'feminze' the brain at early stages, did you know that the WHO listed homosexuality as a mental illness until 1992? And rightly so, they break the law espoused by all of nature. I am not a bigot I can think clear!
