whenever i get acne i use a homeade scrub thats sugar, honey , olive oil and lemon juice and its helps SO much so if youre trying to treat acne without chemicals try that cause it has works great. :) I know that josie maran has a ton of natural and great for you makeup stuff, its a lil bit pricey but it last a long long time and it is good for you soo... maybe try an travel size of the bb cream from that brand at sephora and see how you like it:) you can always find that stuff cheaper on ebay!

I just filmed a Hair Care Video of products that don't have Parabens in it. I Have been buying things that are paraben free because i read a study on it and thats where i found out about how bad it is for skin and hair if you over use it. I love all the products you shared in the video i am so happy that Revlon Lip-butters don't have it in their ingredients

What brands are you meaning? As far as skincare goes, I use mostly natural products, Not much helps my skin honestly :P Like I said in my video...these things are not natural or "good for you products" they just don't have parabens. baby steps :) I would love to use all natural makeup but I want to use up other things first. I am looking into it :)

@xXHoldMyHeartXx yeah but you can buy the stuff that is good for you. It would help your skin alot too!! not all lf ot is veru expensive so ou should look into some of it! yea elf has a couple.good things. :) but there are other brands that are alot better for you and if thats important to you ypu should look into it! :)

I actually realized I hadn't tried the scrub with all 4 things in it, I think i've only done honey and sugar for a scrub. But I tried it tonight! It made my breakouts realllly red :P But my skin was really soft! oh well, thanks for the recommendation anyway, sometimes having sensitive skin SUCKS! :P haha XX

I've tried that, It just doesn't work for me :P Yeah I can't afford her stuff. I don't wear face makeup anyway, normally only eyes and lips so I don't need pricey makeup :) There are natural brands that are drugstore prices, but I have things to use up first.

I can't afford that. Just because something is high end doesn't mean it's GOOD for you. ELF actually has some nice stuff, and good for you makeup doesn't have to be pricey, like The All Natural Face.

Wow great ,,i hadthe same resolution for a long time i didnt do everything at oncee ,, i transfer on long time period begning with my food and them the stuff i used ,,, what helped me is eco-emi i dont know if u know it ,, i use their samples and i buy then what i like,, but usualy for make up the samples are mkre than enough for me ;)

I am doing that as well...I also decided to not buy any clothes that are not necessary! I'm good with cleanser, and face cream for nite time.. Make-up is loaded with chemicals...maybe try Beauty without Cruelty...I really want to try Tarte foundations

I've gone natural myself! But for me the makeup does not last long because the really good things do not have the preservatives in them. Please let me know if you find a brand that's nature but stays preserved a long time.

Nice review. Have been debating between Tarte and It Cosmetics for a matte eyeshadow palette. As a woman of color, I was concerned that the It Cosmetics palette might not show up well. You helped me decide. Thanks for sharing.

see thats what is so hard about actually good stuff for us its so expensive it makes ppl not wanna get it because we cant afford it. Oh I went to walmart today and saw some parben free cosmetics. It's the HIP pigments, Loreal bare naturale eye shadows, and they also came out with this new mascara that is also paraben free. the tube has a funky design, you can't miss it. It's has something like a leopard pattern to it (hope I got the description right) :O I'm not sure if they sell it everywhere yet, but I saw it at the walmart that I went to.

Oh, maybelline's mineral makeup is not all paraben free. Their liquid foundation and concealer contains parabens. I was gonna buy their concealer but double checked their ingredients and decided not to. I want to use paraben free makeup too, once I done with the one I am using now or probably will throw it away when I am bored with it. Parabens haven't been proven to cause cancer, but the choice is up to you.

Thanks, ViXenNY and lemontea128, for the comments and clarifications. I am looking for a line more for my cousin since it's best that she take every pre-caution to optimize her recovery. I myself still use products with parabens, but we'll see what happens as I become more educated on these chemicals.

Like ViXenNy said, it's a preservative to keep mold and bacteria from growing. If you want more info you can google it by typing in parabens and there will be web sites with info on parabens. Hope that helps.

paraben is a chemical that is added to cosmetics as a preservative. it's not exactly proven that it's harmful....yet. :)
