Yeah but in the case before it he was basing his reasoning in part on the fact that it was a Congressionally written and approved law that had a bit of ambiguity. Whereas the Obergefell ruling was never really brought before Congress. So to compare the two is pretty disingenuous.

Dear Greycloud, sometimes I wonder too if perhaps there is no God, because there is so much darkness in the world. Sometimes I fall into hate and begin to lose hope. It seems the darkness is so big and I am so small. Like David and Goliath. Its hard to reject the dark forces of destruction, hate and inhumanity. I think God would want us to love more, be kinder, have compassion and tolerance for each other and be friends through our differences. Love is the most positive force of light there is.

I did hear a beautiful quote from my Muslim friend. We were breastfeeding our babies and she smiles at me and says our sins are forgiven, and I cannot recall the exact quote but it was lovely. Yes, Greycloud, I have studied world religion for many years. I believe in freedom to choose your own way to God or Great Spirit. What I have found by talking to people of other cultures and religions is that most people are feeling powerless to change the corrupt and destructive powers that be, and most of us are turning to God to save us. If you don't believe in God that is free choice also, still we should try to rise to our highest selves and evolve our humanity above violence and hate.

I am interested in learning more about the Muslim religion, there seems to be much good in this religion yet I fear it because there is so much talk of hate, intolerance, oppression and war.
