No, you don't understand, there is no problem with people like me who believe that if people have a family and don't know how to raise it, that they should be taught how to do so. Aiming for a social program is a fail-safe, not a way of life nor is it an inevitability. Protecting innocent life is simply something that anyone with a HEART seeks to do...So the "problem" is with heartless people like you that don't care about innocent human lives (Mother and child) being destroyed...That's the "problem"!

If a mother dies during childbirth then that is tragic. But any woman or girl who dies while having an abortion well, that is a death that was caused by the abortion, which should never have happened in the first place.

When you think about your abortions, do you feel empowered or something? Bellona6356, Thank you for standing up to the anti-choicers. Having an abortion is about as risky as having a tooth pulled. About 28 percent of American women have had an abortion. Many of my friends have had abortions, and most of them went on to have healthy babies when they were ready for children. I had two very early surgical abortions when I was young, because the pro-lifers were keeping RU-486 off the market in order to punish women for having sex. I'm glad I had more choices than my mother did (you had to stay a virgin until you married in her day), and I'm glad that young girls these days have the Morning After pill. Ladies, don't let anyone make you feel guilty for choosing to end a pregnancy. It's your life.

Just so you know, a woman would have to be one heck of a coward to kill her unborn infant to save her own life. Women have been giving birth is terrible conditions for hundreds of thousands years. We have lifesaving technology, we have sterile conditions now, meaning less deaths during childbirth. A recent survey has shown that 79% of abortion slaughterhouses are VERY unsterilized, blood stained floors, uncleaned tools, and so much more. One clinic was recently shut down after it was discovered that they had served fetal tissue to the women who had abortions there. How can we know that that's not happening all over the country?Oh, and Planned Parenthood covers incest, abuse, and sex slave trafficking. +Anna Worley I am glad you had a good outcome, not everyone does.  Please check the information available.  Infant mortality rate in the US is 6.1 per 1000 births.  Maternal mortality is lower, 18.5 per 100,000 which amounted to 800 in 2013.  That's a lot.  The rate for 2004–2008 was 0.64 legal induced abortion-related deaths per 100,000 reported legal abortions
