+imabeaner3000 Some people are not cut out to do Insurance. This market is really hard.... very hard, not a joke. .. for me.... I would do better in real estate than selling and recruiting and training people to do the same.... It does cost a lot of money. But it would not be WFG's fault if you are not as successful as others do... There are other things one can excel... but never give up your licenses because you study so hard to get it. Oneday, even if you are not recruiting or selling, someone will ask you to write here and there...  1 or 2 in a month, you still make $800 to $1,000.

+WhatCanYouSay? If you got scammed, that's that couple... not the company. If, as ANNA B put it, you were put into an annuity... you're the one in control of it. If you wrote a check out to that couple, well, that's your own fault. You NEVER, doesn't matter the company, write out a check to an individual. You write it out to companies (which you can research online and find out how they take payments).

If that 7K is in annuities, you are in control of that You can take it back if you are not sure what you are doing or if you do not understand what investing means. WFG will NOT take your money if you did not put them in an annuity account like VOYA , Mutual of Omaha, orTransamerica, wherever... You would be the stupid person in the world if you just hand the money to stranger in exchange for nothing.

If you are talking about annuitizing a 401k you have to pay taxes when you annuitize and then you can purchase a IUL with after tax dollars. We use post taxed dollars to fund an IUL.
