Part I But at least at one point I have to agree with dayvz1. It would be
better to sedate the patient with a weak sedative (and I mean no general
anesthesia). It is clearly cognizable that the patient's heart rate is
rising significantly when using the drill!
@dayvz1 : with the advent of technology it is no longer necessary to make
the patient to sleep and thus minimizing the complications involved in
general anaesthesia. By the way it is fracture of femur.
If you don't know anatomy, then don't comment. Femur is above the knee
connected to the pelvis. Tibia (large bone) and Fibula (small bone) are
below the knee.Read a book!
Why is the doctor asking his assistant if things are good...he should know!
He's right there! The femur! Is the bone below the knee come on... Longest
of all bones!...
allow me to suggest you only sectioning the skin (while supratrochanteric)
and after directly spreading tissues with a Kelly forceps. bleeds almost
nothing. (also, you should't use the hammer... at least while being filmed,
eheh)
Congrats for an artistic musical video. May I humbly suggest: 1. A running
commentary would have made it better understood by a novice. 2.IITV inputs
side by side operative procedure will help comprehend what is going on.
Thank you for the video. My 18 yr old niece fell off her bike and fractured
her hipbone. It broke into a few parts. Last night she went through
surgery. She had 3 incisions. And now on the road to recovery...
