Why do women and couples choose Natural Birth Control?
Find out how Mayra's marriage was transformed after she decided to get off hormonal contraceptives. What would Jorge think? Would he support her? Was it a ...
Additionally, many fertility experts (including doctors) are concerned
about the fact that women often are not informed that the birth control
pill can cause an chemical abortion as well as prevent pregnancy. Despite
the hormones’ ability to prevent the release of eggs, sometimes a
“breakthrough ovulation” takes place.
A woman can still conceive a baby (embryo), who because of synthetic
hormones cannot attach to the uterine lining and is aborted. The pill’s
third mechanism is to change the lining of the endometrium, which creates a
hostile environment for a newly created human life.
The similar and even worse mechanism works in case of IUDs (coils), like
Mirena, where one of the mechanisms incorporates a physical intrusion to
prevent implantation of already conceived baby (embryo).
Wow what a wonderful video!!! Myself and my husband switched to natural
birth control and use a Baby-Comp for this and have just felt great! I was
on the pill before but knew I wanted to find a way of naturally preventing
a pregnancy for the first while in our marriage. Now I am pregnant with our
first and he was planned and achieved in one month because I was so aware
of my cycles! Couldn't speak more highly of natural birth control!!
How Birth Control Pills gave me a Blood Clot
My birth control pills caused a blood clot. Watch this video to hear my story. Please go to //stoptheclot.org to learn the signs and symptoms of blood clots.
Dear Charissa, I am a board member of the NBCA and just was so touched by
your video. My daughter's story is on the Stoptheclot web site. She
unfortuantely suffered a fatal pulmonary embolism as a result of birth
control pills in May of 2010. Your story resonates with me because I know
that had Anna (Frutiger) survived, she would have told a similar story to
yours. I look forward to working with you as a volunteer to increase
awareness about the risks of birth control pills. Sara Wassenaar
Sara - that breaks my heart to hear that you lost Anna. I remember reading
her story when I came home from the hospital! I prayed for your family that
day and will continue - thank you for the work you are doing in honor of
Anna and to help others! I look forward to working with you :)
I was on BC pills for 2 years. I was 27 when I had the clot, I'm 28 now.
No, I've never smoked in my life. I was not aware of any family history of
clots.
what BC were you on?? im glad you are ok and im sorry for what you went
through
Dr. Erika Schwartz discusses the Truth About Birth Control Pills
//www.drerika.com | Birth control pills are hazardous to your health! Dr. Erika Schwartz explains why it is so important to avoid birth control pills at any age.
I liked everything she said up until Paragard IUD -- I had this for five
years and it gave me copper toxicity and numerous health problems.
Contraceptives and IUD’s contain powerful hormones - estrogen and
progesterone - to regulate a woman’s ovulatory cycle. As estrogen levels
rise, copper tends to rise as they feed one another, often times
contributing to excess copper levels in the body. High levels of copper
increase norepinephrine levels, causing anxiety and oxidative stress. The
excessive copper destroys Vitamin C in the body and depletes zinc and iron
levels. Low zinc and high copper levels can directly affect behavior and
thought processes, and may cause an array of other health problems.
In clinical studies by William J. Walsh, PhD, 45% of women diagnosed with
major depression were found to have excess copper. Extremely high copper
levels (copper toxicity) can even result in a psychotic break. The key is
to keep copper levels in balance; not too high and not too low. Copper
toxicity is treatable using therapeutic dosages of micronutrients.
Hi ladies, I was planning to start on birth control to gain weight, but if
it is this dangerous what else can I take to increase my appetite? I have
very poor appetite, i do not eat breakfast, eat only lunch and no dinner at
all, no snacks, nothing else throughout the day. I just can't, don't feel
like eating. sometimes I even do not want to eat lunch, Dr, please advice
me what vitamins or supplements I can take to increase my appetite? I need
to gain weight otherwise it will bring me to anorexia
I am trying to delete your video. I do not agree with taking IUD's to
prevent birth. Conception still occurs and the unborn baby dies an
excruciating death. Condoms are dumb and stupid, and so are your claims it
works. The Medical Community has stated the Failure Rate of Condoms for
years. Grow up! Abstain from sex during your fertile days, and use NFP
only. Or have a large family. God said, "Be fruitful & multiply." No stick
something in your to not have kids. Or take a Pill not to have kids.
"OCP are hazradous to your health" you are saying this as if it were a fact
BUT while it is somewhat true every pharmaceutical drug has side effects
while some women are affected negatively, the majority of women find the
pill helpful if used in low doses. THIS VIDEO IS BIASED YOU cannot judge
the overall effectiveness of all bc pills of the smaller percentage of
women who faced the very negative side effects in comparison to the woman
who feel comfortable and healthy of the new LOW DOSE bc
Thank you Dr. Erika. I use to be on Depo-Provera (the shot) and it made me
have no sex drive. Also, once i got off it i started having my periods 3
times a month!!! I was always bleeding with only a few days inbetween! I
was diagnosed with PCOS and was put on birth control pils to stop my
ovulation. When i was on them my breats were always sore, nipples would
sting, i had no sex drive and started getting yeast infections. When i
stopped using birth control my body returned to NORMAL! :)
@Steviefan6 glad to see this comment. my sister is 25 and im worried as
shit about her because she has had a serious ovarian cyst problem and other
mental problems (to the point of attempting suicide before). she continues
to take birth control simply because she wants to have sex with her long
term boyfriend without a condom or threat of pregnancy. do u think that
these reasons are enough to continue taking birth control? i think there
are unknowns about bc that could be dangerous
@xPrincessPeach64x If something has side effects, and you take it into your
body, wouldn't you like to know? There are several types of contraceptives
that do not mess up your hormones, some are even more reliable that the
pill (like a copper IUD). BC pills do have grave side effects, especially
when taken for years on end. They reacts badly wth some substances, like
nicotine, and should by all rights not be used by smokers..yet they're
generally prescribed, no question asked.
So right now i'm on loette which has 100mg levonorgestrel and 20mg
ethinyloestradiol I'm switching to nordette which has 150mg levonorgestrel
and 30mg ethinyloestradiol How would this effect my body with the slight
increase of mg (100mg to 150mg and 20mg-30mg) I'm only chaning becuase I'm
in a small rural town and this is the pill they have to offer for me. Would
I be better off to stay off the pill for 1 month while I place and
order/shipment for my current pill?
Thanks for you video, its very needed. I went on the pill for one month,
had a terrible reaction, and came off because it felt so wrong. that was at
the beginning of the year 2009 and I have recently had 2 periods on one
month, june / july. do you think my body is still reacting /recovering from
the pill. I also eat a vegan diet and regularly cleanse/ detox for health.
I would be interested in your opinion. Thanks, keep up the honourable
work!!!!
I was put on the pill(ortho tri-cyclen lo) for 1 year to straighten me out.
I came off July 08 and august I didnt have a period, sept, oct, nov I did
right on time..but dec 08 I didnt. This month it looks Ill be late too. In
nov. right after my period they found two ovarian cysts, both 4.8 cm. I
just got them checked again and the one on my right is gone, the one on my
left only shrunk. My
@MMuNcHyY I know this is a super late reply since your comment was 5 months
old, but I have to start on birth control for irregular periods, and I
figured since it's a medical type reason like your PCOS, I'd ask you. I was
just wondering if you expirienced any weight gain after taking the pills
and what brand you use? You don't have to answer if you find this too
invasive, I was jw.
Dr. Erika, I love your blogs. You are soooo helpful. I wish I had a doctor
like you, my doctor isnt caring at all. Im about to find another one,
anyways I have a question for you. I had anorexia/bulimia for 8 years,
about 2 of those years I didnt have a consistent period. I then got married
and started to get better but my periods were random. Of course
@bobmoore20 My sister also has an ovarian cyst and she also takes birth
control for that. Plus she has sex with her boyfriend too. I'm thinking of
going on a lower dose birth control so I can lose weight. I'm on Trinessa
now and my sister uses Yaz. I heard about the effects of Yaz. But my sister
has never had a problem with it.
