what exactly does "black" mean? He was probably south Indian "Dravidian"
people that eventually moved north. Lots of them have very curly hair,
there are still negrito tribes in Adaman Nicobar indian islands that are
probably from groups that left Africa during the migrations
....probably remnants from the Australoid that kept moving east the first
group ending up in australia and the last groups staying as near as south
east asia
Everyone was black at one time and tribal at one time. Indian jewellery
still has lots of tribal elements still seen tribal groups in south east
asia, north India and even Africa
So what do you mean black...like a hood rat?
+Vinatha Madhavan They are saying he is black. I'm saying if they think he is black then he might of been Dravidian Dravidian have remnant genes from 1000's of yeas ago that match the people that first groups that left africa. All indians are "racially" mixed if you want to call it that, Caucasoid and Mongoloid (asian), they are in between.Dravidian are the oldest and was there there before anyone else, a group that was crossing out of African and stayed, or returned early in human migration
He was not a Dravidian. He belonged to an Indo-Aryan tribe. Beside the Dravidians are caucasoids, not Negritos. There are no Indian populations that are related to Andaman Islanders.
Can Afrocentrists please stop appropriating other peoples' cultures? Buddha
was a product of Indian civilization (born in what is now Nepal), and the
ideas he presented were completely in line with his rishi predecessors (who
were, again, not black). He was a Kshatriya, and a citizen of the
Mahajanapadas. Given the fact that there's been little to no change in the
genetic composition of Magadha and the Terai region of Nepal over the past
2500 years, it is extremely unlikely that Siddhartha Gautama looked any
different from the average Madheshi or Bihari Kshatriya of today. A good
example of a Bihari Kshatriya is Sushant Singh Rajput.
These Afrocentrics are crazy. To believe their stupid scenario requires a willing suspension of disbelief. He'd have to travel from Africa, traverse very hostile territory without being killed, learn Sanskrit, a very difficult language and find some benevelont king that will give him a kingdom, etc., etc. That would be hard to do today and virtually impossible in 5 BC.
+Benjamin Razzio u must be retarded. Everyone here who believes that must go check themselves especially the blacks claiming history that fucken isn't theirs. Buddha and I will say it say with being totally proud is that he was INDIAN. Again I repeat stop claiming ppl's history.
It was likely that the Buddha was partially Dravidian. Dravidians are
descendants of Africans. However I believe that in Nepal the predominate
race as been Mongoloid for about 5,000 to 7,000 years, the Buddha was only
born around 2,500 years. This is because the Mongoloid people of China and
elsewhere had moved down to this region. Before then Australoid was the
predominate race. Many years later the Caucasoid of Europe and elsewhere
moved to Northern India and it's nearby countries. Of course the country
of "India" didn't exist at the time. I don't know if it was divided into
many different countries yet at that time. So anyway the Buddha was largely
mongoloid perhaps he had some Dravidian (Australoid) blood.
Dravidians are not Africans. They are medit. Caucasoids. Buddha was an Indo-Aryan who was born into a Kshatriyas caste so he probably looked like a North Indian.
