Full ride down Wisteria Lane- previously known as Colonial Street on the backlot at Universal Studios Hollywood. The narration from the tour guide is for the ...
They shoot DH during the week, & the tram tour only drives down Wisteria
lane on the weekends when there is no filming being done. It remained
closed for many weeks (including weekends), recently, when they were filming
the tornado scenes. Right now, due to the strike, there's no filming, and
it has been open just about EVERY day. My husband is a tour tram driver.
Does anyone know when Desperate Housewives will have its series finale
because I am not going on this tour until it does. I just watched on the
video, the Munster's, Ghost and Mr. Chicken, and the Delta House go by
without one word from the tour guide about it. Even if I were a fan of the
show I am also a huge fan of the classic tv/films that were shot there.

Lol, You were lucky. I went there and took a video tour myself to post it
here but they were filming so we couldnt go any further than the end of
Wisteria Lane. It was kinda cool to see production people walking and
driving around the set. I didnt get to see any of the housewives, though.
It was still exciting!
The Desperate Houswives people also destroyed the original Munster house by
tearing down the top tower portion and ripping down the majority of the
rounded barn shaped section. It's almost completely unrecognizable now.
It's disgusting what they did.
I didnt hear the narrator of the tram ride say anything about the other
famous houses on the street. The Munsters house is the grey one, also the
Hardy Boys house is on the street and Animal House from the movie.
I know, some of the tour guides do also mention the houses aliases. Susan's
house was the Hardy Boys house, The Applewhite's house was the Munster
House, Mary Alice's house was the Beaver home.
WHAT! The people from the Desperate Assholes, defaced the Delta house from
Animal House. (the blue one) I hope they put it back the way it was when
this show is discontinued.
My fiancee and I did this tour back in January, but we didn't get to go
down the whole street because they were shooting, I saw the back of Teri
Hatcher's head though!
Visited here Sept 09, unfortunately the day of our tour they were filming
so all we saw was the yellow house on top of the "lane" so really good to
see the rest.....
I'm pretty sure it's been on screen on the show but not for a recurring
character, it's usually the random neighbor house in various shots. I could
be wrong though.
Ive just come back from LA unfortunatly Wisteria Lane was a closed set
because they were filming! I would of loved to see it in real life am a
HUGE D.H.W fan!! :(
Was Jason your tour guide? It sounds a lot like him. He was my tour guide
for the VIP tour and yet we were unable to go inside Wisteria Lane because
of filming.
Yeah, it's only open on weekends, although the season is almost over and
for the first few weeks of the summer they usually open it up during the
week.
