This is the beauty of Indian classical music, it has no beginning or end!
If there was a cut beginning and an end, then there would be no new way to
create melodies and beautiful music and it would be just the same and maybe
not as appealing. In my opinion, if there was a clear beginning and a end,
how can there be progression? Its amazing how there are thousands of master
pieces created just from SA RE GA MA PA DHA NI SA!
The beauty of any language could properly be understood basing upon the
depth of acquaintance with it only. The same applies to Indian music also.
Even a letter received from a friend should properly be understood not only
reading the letters on the lines but also between the lines. Unlike in any
other music Indian music is produced not only on the notes but also between
the notes with umpteen oscillations. amsharma
That's the thing about indian music, its always felt so shapeless to me, no
clear beginning or end, no real progression, though that just might be how
it sounds to my western ear. Still, I enjoy listening to bits like this,
makes me look at violin techniques I never would have considered usually.
This vid is kind of like extreme vibrato.
No problem. At first, I thought you merely had bad posture because you held
your violin down so low, but then after a little research, I found that
certain Indian violinists hold their violin scrolls against the floor by
their feet while sitting down. Do you give performances, etc. while sitting
down like that?
In general, all Indian Violinists are used to hold their violins in the
same manner like me as we all have to play different kinds of oscillatioins
of notes in our music. We always give our performances in the same posture
as we cannot bring out all these oscillations in a standing posture.

In fact, I have made the demonstrations step bt step only keeping the
aspirants level at one pice of my choice. In fact, these steps should be
decided by the teacher taking the level of the aspirant into consideration
