would this give a good eaven light spread for a 7ft by 2ft by 2ft planted tank? or would 2x aquasky led be better?

+jonny jones The Prism underwater spotlight is an accent light, so as an accent it is okay. The Aquasky LED is under-powered for a planted aquarium of that size. You would need multiple Fresh & Plant 2.0 LEDs; Up to 6 of them depending on what plants you keep.

+sammy samurai As an accent light, yes. It features one 3-watt LED for that purpose. If you are asking whether it be sufficient as the main lighting system for a 45-gallon marine reef, then no, this is not the purpose.
