+ٍSamar Ahmed Hi Samar, the two options are "get from data" and "use specified range". I usually use "get from data". But it depends on your research question. If you are only interested in certain values you can define that range. E.g. Let's say you have a data set with birthdata for the whole year. You would like to know if during the summer months births are equally distributed. Let's assume each month has a number starting with January as 1, February 2... December 12. You could define the range of summer months (June, July, August) as 6 through 8. That way only these 3 months will be in your chi-square test.If you want to pick certain values that are not in a range (e.g. January, July & September) you can go with the "select cases" command.
