+Mark Hansen Mark, you bring up a point that few are willing to reconcile. Americans were within their rights to define marriage between one man and one woman. The church argued polygamy was not constitutional and lost. They gave up the fight after persecution via seized property and imprisonment. One premise of Utah being admitted as a state in the 1890's was they could not have plural marriage - just "traditional". Now the state is told by judges that they must be more open in their definition. How is the Supreme Court decision reconciled with the polygamy laws of the late 1800's? Its not. LBGT is not about to include a "P" in the definition. The sign "my 2 moms can beat up your 14 wives" (look at 1:45) shows the true colors of the whole movement. True equality isn't on their radar. We can imply from the polygamy laws of the 1800's that society can define marriage. The church is completely within its rights to state where it thinks those boundaries should be. You can call this "persecution" but then I guess anyone exercising freedom of speech for a cause could be called a persecuting bigot.

None of the members of the Church are perfect. If the Church was for pefect people, the pews would certainly be empty on Sunday! :) I understand that there can be circumstances where people can say things or imply things that are hurtful. Have I ever been offended by another church member? You bet, just like I've been offended by people at school, work, and essentially any group in which I've spent a lot of time. It's inevitable at some point because of our imperfections.

Paul is referring to Peter in the book of galatians as the preacher of another gospel, you'll see this if you read the second chapter. Gospel doesn't mean a book, there's 4 gospels in the new testament so according to your logic we should have only one of the current 4 gospels chosen as the gospel. The bible is compilation of 66 books that were separete, The book of momron is also, and they both could be put together as one book as we have done.

How many churches do you know that have a prophet, 12 apolstels, priesthood authority, temples and the teachings of Christ that are untouched but mans hand? This one maybe? Moreover, Joseph Smith the Prophet was persecuted and murdered in a jail cell by a mob of 200 men. If prophets have been without persecution that would be the day. Truth is he was a prophet and God did talk with him. This is the restored church of Jesus Christ.

In the book of revelations it talks of prophets of god in the last days. Are you going to reject them too or is it possible that those prophets are here now through Gods' restored church? You might want to take another look. The prophets of God will not be wearing gold and tall hats nor will they have bands playing behind them. You will know them through their works and words. The angel has come and God's organization is here.

I know the Book of Mormon the Holy Bible to be the word of God. I've completely read both several times. They compliment each other. They both contain God's words for us! I have a grandfather who was imprisoned for something he didn't do. He knew Joseph Smith personally. While in jail he was offered a large bag of money if he would betray Joseph Smith. He would not, though he was very poor, denounce the Prophet. Nor will I!

Galatians 1:8 does not mean that no more revelations of truth were to be expected; it just means that "revelations" which contradicted the fundamentals the Apostles had laid out were to be rejected as spurious. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' doctrine is in full alignment with the teachings of the Apostles; therefore Gal 1:8 does not apply here.

And what "documents" did you read? You said not to say you're worng, but it's hard not to when your "facts" are indeed wrong. For example, Joseph Smith was not "beat to death"--he was shot. It is a great film--one of my favorites. As you may have noticed, I make no claim that it is mine or that I produced it. I think it's clear from the intro that it is an Church-produced movie. When I first saw this video a couple of years ago, the Spirit of the Lord testified to me that Jesus is the Christ and that He is our Mediator. I'm a convert and till then I didn't quite understand why we needed Jesus Christ. But when I saw this video I understood. The message is brought very clear. Thank you for uploading LDS9999!
