The runner would have been easily thrown out at 3rd had the ball not hit
the bat.

0:47-look where Bourn is when Posada releases the ball. I'm pretty sure even with his speed Bourn would have been out.

The batter must not step out of the batter's box or make any other movement that could hinder the catcher from fielding and throwing the ball. Yes, I did look at the 2015 Official Rule Book. The catcher was the one that messed up in this situation and the batter had next to no time to make a move to avoid the thrown ball. He did attempt to duck out of the way though.

+sheefra He does not have to avoid the throw as long he is in the box and does not try to interfere. The batter has the right to the box.
