I laugh at the hackers who think they'll make a dent in this movie's premiere because this is only one country that they're spooking. You can't spook the whole world to not watch a movie. And suppose they did 'attack' a theater for showing the movie. What then? The hacker's identities will be exposed and I assume the hacker has no other plan after his initial attack. Release medical information of employees? No one gives a shit if someone has diabetes. Great, now I know if the Sony employee can have sugar in his tea. His income information? Who cares, I already know they make a shit ton more than I do. It seems like this hacker or group of hackers are childish in their exploits and have nothing to gain other than to not have this movie premiere. This is so stupid. There are hundreds of movies about Russia being 'evil' and that they're all 'terrorists' who need to be killed, and you don't see Putin and a bunch of angry Russian hackers threatening to blow up movie theaters. I assume it's just a bunch of kids who picked up 'Hacking 2nd Edition' and decided to play 'badass', just like the group behind the DDoS of the LoL and WoW servers who ended up being teenagers who thought it was funny. On the other hand, Sony has been hacked so many times, you'd think they'd change their firewall and encryption to beef up security, but it seems like they just like making headlines a lot. I mean, c'mon, Sony can hire the FBI and security tech experts to find the alleged hackers, but can't hire a tech expert to encrypt their data? That's prioritizing for ya. :P I'm gonna go see this movie where I live. I'll let ya know if I get blown up. :)

Barbara Streisand effect. These moron hackers are going to make this movie more popular than it ever would have been. Frankly, I wouldn't be too surprised if it turned out that this is all a big publicity stunt being done by Sony.
