I have no hesitation in saying that modern India is a child of British Empire however it was a child which the British never wanted rather tried to throttle.Anyway the child did grew up and wanted and to be free, lead its own life. British refused but the child anyway walked away. Though keeping the contact by way of commonwealth association.British must respect that decision.

+Nick TarasI agree, I don't want to argue on here with anyone, nor do I want to express any hatred. I was only leaving a comment of my opinion. For someone to attack my race (I'm white) and the history of my race, I found provocative. I'm not offended, and I'm not accusing the other guy of racism. I am however stating that I find his view a little generalising. Sure, I agree that white people, Anglo-Saxon white people like myself, are particularly war like in nature. I do not find that offensive, but actually a truthful observation. We modern Anglo-Saxons are the result of centuries of wars and invasions, we are the offspring of the victors of those wars, hence we have it in our blood. However, to not acknowledge the good things that have come from British Empire and only focus on the obvious negative I find small minded and a want to play the victim. The Ottoman Empire was arguably better than the British, and they were not white people. But I see no one ever making comments about that. Same with the many Arab based empires. They also invaded Europe via Spain, and massacred many white people, but one ever mentions that. It's this demonization of white people I  find disturbing. Also, I do not regret what my ancestors may or may not have done. For one, it wasn't me that done it, so why should I feel bad about it. And secondly, there is also good there too.In the end, can't we just stop all being dicks and discus history without the victim and/or race card hindering our learning? 

+Dharma Chakra - I can see how you feel that "White western people" are not pacifists. History has clearly shown this, from the barbaric world we have all been born into - which unfortunately continues today. But I feel you should be open minded rather than having hate for the western race, or any other. The majority of people in England, like myself (when I used to live there) - don't want war and I personally have complete respect for any race, religion and belief. It's great to learn about history and culture, I think it's the reason why we both found this page. I personally wanted to see how Ghandi had saved India, friends had told me he was good for their country, but feel I need to research more.The worlds and governments need to lower their boundaries, drop their war crime debts and hatred with one another if we're ever to overcome the past (which our generation had no control over) and get out of this mess with war.

And this video has nothing new.The denigration of India and Indian heroes like Gandhi by Westerners are very well known.Noble Price committee ( a western Price) has always regretted not giving him the price due to Western prejudices and bitterness against Gandhi. Gandhi was a credulous believer in the greatness of English Imperialism to start with but he soon realized its true character. His non-violence ideology also developed over period of time. His family life or personal life are solely his concern. He says that the British were more peaceful than Germans and Russia. Maybe true, all Indians were also not as pacifist as Gandhi. If English had crushed Gandhi and Congress they would have faced a much bitter fate in India as French faced in Algeria. This video has only convinced me that Westerner will never regret their deeds and would keep slander Indian nation with all sort of falsehood. I don't like you people.
