You could do it like this as well:
f+t=900
5f+10y=5500
5(900-t)+10t=5500
4500-5t+10t=5500
4500+5t=5500
5t=1000
t=200
Like said, f=900-t
700
To check,
200+700=900
You can substitute variables to get the answer.
